  • Move in life with ease

I was told about this App by a friend who teaches yoga. The Movement for Modern Life app is brilliant, such a variety of stretch, yoga, and somatic classes. If you have five, or fifteen minutes, 30 minutes or 1hr 20 mins there are appropriate classes. If you want to slow down, breathe and stop, and stretch daily, this really helps. I have done classes at least six times a week, since subscribing; I find it really helps my fitness, flexibility and general demeanour.
As my physio sometimes says, the stretching & fitness you actually do daily is the best! The MFML app makes it easy and convenient for me. I bought the yearly subscription and am very happy I did.

  • Doesn’t work for me

Had to delete it won’t let me connect to my Facebook had an error message and that was it couldn’t start the app without signing up
  • Great yoga classes and community!

Amazing selection of classes and teachers on this app and the Facebook community around it is also fantastic. The founder, Kat, is such an inspiring individual and has created something really special here.
  • Everything you could want, and so much more

This App has changed my life and brought the most amazing array of yoga teachers into my home, where I can practice as & when I please. It has opened my eyes to the power of different styles of yoga & you will find everything from the feistiest of vinyasas to most mellow restorative, and absolutely everything in between. The App is easy to use, with many great features. Give it a go, you won’t regret it

  • Life Changing

This fantastic yoga site is literally life changing if, like me you either never have the time or the inclination to go to classes. I like exercising by myself - with MFML I can do that, but I am never alone.
  • Best UK Yoga app

This is a really great app run by a small and responsive team. There’s a wide range of classes and teachers and they’re not all Lycra clad Americans. It’s mostly yoga but also some Pilates, chi gung and restorative yoga too. I use it every day 😍
  • MFML Fan Girl

I am not usually one to write reviews, but I feel compelled to share MFML as its such a well designed app and website that it feels like you are entering your very own inviting yoga studio online. The teachers each have their own unique style and I have found the level of teaching extremely professional with levels accommodating for both beginners and advanced practitioners. What I like most is the convenience to have a yoga class or meditation to fit in around my schedule, so if I fancy a quick pre bedtime yoga class I always have something at my fingertips! There are always fresh new classes being added, so you feel like there’s more classes and teachers to explore. Also having had some brief communication with Kat the owner, she is nothing but helpful and personable, a real gem!

  • Yoga any time

Having been a subscriber to Movement for Modern Life for 3 years, I jumped for joy at the new app. I had taken my i-pad on holidays and travels before but often would not have a signal to use the site. This is now a great way of practicing regular yoga whilst away and the choice and quality of teachers is vast. Wouldn't be without it! Thank you Kat and the team.

  • Good but not perfect

Firstly, Movement For Modern Life as a product is great with a huge range of classes for all levels taught by excellent teachers. The subscription is good value and new classes are regularly added.

The app however is only merely adequate. The basics work fine, browsing and watching classes is easy. However, the app is locked in portrait mode when browsing which is a real pain when using on an iPad with a stand/case. You have to use in portrait mode to navigate to the class you want and then flip to landscape mode when watching the video. Surely this can easily be sorted?

The other problem is that the option to download classes for offline use (which is a great idea) is not reliable. It frequently fails to finish a download and takes multiple attempts to succeed. I have fast fibre broadband which is thankfully unlimited but it's still frustrating. If I had a slower connection and/or capped usage it would drive me mad. On a more positive note you can choose the quality to download which can cut down the size and download time.

Could I also make a feature request to be able to allow audio only to continue if you lock your device screen? For meditations in particular (but also for practices you're familiar with) there is no need for video so it would be nice to have just the audio and the screen off to save battery life.

Three stars is probably a little harsh but if the above were all addressed it would be five starts for sure.
