Cannot Connect to Smartphone Anymore
Rubbish Thinkware app, good quality video from the Thinkware F800 pro dashcam, overall avoid buying as there will be better available from other manufacturers. Used to connect to smartphone with difficulty some years ago, doesn’t connect at all now and you end up going round in circles between trying to connect to wi-if and then it sends you over to connect to your hotspot and this doesn’t work either. Need to take out card and read on my Mac if I want to see footage. Would give zero stars if could.Show lessPJK_M62
No support from Thinkware
When I first got a couple Thinkware Q800 pros, this app worked every now and then. But it was enough that I could get the settings on the cameras proper. That was maybe 2 years ago. Now I can't get any of my phones to connect to the cameras using the app. You can see the wifi network, and it shows the checkmark, but it doesn't actually connect.Show lessBrendon5150
A truly horrible product
It connects for 1s and then disconnects no matter how many times you try it. Can’t believe Porsche uses this as default dash cam. Complete waste of money.Willson1312
App not longer works
Tried to use this to get some footage only to find it now refuses to register the wifi connection, even after restarting the camera, my phone, deleting and reinstalling the app, and the wifi network.
My BlackVue camera that is nearly 10 YEARS OLD works perfectly with its app than this Thinkware rubbish that’s less than 3 years old. The camera was also replaced in the first year so, don’t buy Thinkware.Show lessWanted797

App appears to connect and allows some setting and some viewing …….. most of the time. Hotspot is major failure. It’s too bad that Thinkware is so out of touch with their apps. I’ve had a couple of Thinkwares but I’m moving on now. Too frustrating to pay a ton for product and be ignoredHappyGoose
Can no longer connect to cam
It’s quite useless as I can’t connect at all. I have to take the card out and put files on my computer. Not good if needed in a moment.Andrea Pierce

Connection horrible
You have to be physically in the car to use the wifi option, so defeats purpose of using live view in the app.
Connection drops out all the time and if you have Apple car play you manually have to join the cam wifiSudifer
