For the amount of money people pay for Thinkwares dash cam you would think that their app is running smoothly….NOPE!!!! Their app is TRASH! and makes me want to throw my U1000

Worst update ever
Ive been using this with no issue, just had this app updated recently, and it wont show live view anymore front n rare camera, all gone black. Doesnt download videos anymore, i emailed to them, not much help from them either. You guys need to fix this ASAP, we are buying your product be better at it and ur costumers. Might not go with this product again….Show lessRadzroka
Hotspot not working
I tried to connect hotspot to register my product(Q800 pro), but never works. I did almost 100times. Watched lots of videos and read lots of articles, but nothing helps. Already cannot connect and announce “cannot find hotspot”. So tried of it.Mikikucwjh
Connection via wifi or hotspot
Why is it so hard to setup a connection with this unit? Tried so many times to open up a connection via wifi and the unit try’s to setup a hotspot when it fails with wifi and when it finally opens a hotspot connection and says connected the app doesn’t respond.renegade1969
Great Video. Useless App.
The video quality from the U100 is great. The app has been nothing but useless since day 1. Tech support just reads from a script and obviously has no real experience with the app. Took HOURS to finally be able to find phone hotspot to register the camera to the cloud service. Same with installed and always on hotspot device. Constantly drops connection to Wi-Fi as well as to either hotspots. For the short time that it is connected, it fails to send notifications or auto-upload incidents as advertised. After researching the issue on other forums, it appears that Thinkware is aware of the issue with some users but is choosing to ignore it. I am on the latest IOS (16.5) and have the most recent update to the app which supposedly corrected the dropped connectivity issue but hasn’t.Show lessgdt42

Doesn’t connect to my F800
The app doesn’t work with my F800 anymore. It connects but just disconnects right away. It’s a pain now if I have to watch the recording on my phone or laptop.dcfromtp
Useless Piece of Software
It never connects to my F800 wifi. The app experience was terrible Day 1 with initial setup, stopped working two years ago and they never fixed it to this day. Now I have a useless dash cam that often restarts and can’t play back videos. Don’t buy Thinkware!!embr8ace

Not impressed
Bought the U1000 F&R cameras had them fitted by thinkware themselves, cost £150 plus £400 for cameras. They won’t connect to my phone or my car’s hotspot unless I’m in the car and press the Wi-Fi button on the unit, even then it’s hit and miss, completely negates the reason why I bought the camera. Wanted to be able to see where my car was using the live view when I wasn’t the one driving. If my car is stolen I can’t track it, if it’s in an accident I can’t recover the data. It says you can park the car and keep an eye on it via live view, LIES! What a waste of £550.
The app it’s self is difficult to get to work, doesn’t remember your phone, and a lot of messing about to connect it. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement! Should have bought a much cheaper camera and still got the same resultsShow lessUk person
