  • Cannot view continuous recordings

    F800 PRO

    Every time I go to open up the file list, the app crashes. I have reinstalled the app. Updated phone iOS and the firmware in the camera in updated. I can open up all the other file lists, just not the continuous recording.

    Also. The cloud has never worked since getting the dash cam 5 years ago.

  • DO NOT BUY!!!!!

    The reviews are right. App will not connect to a wifi network or a hotspot for anything. Instead, it relies solely on the memory card to see your footage, which is extremely inconvenient. Not only this, but once the memory card fills up, camera says “insufficient storage space for event recording” every time you run over a pothole. Where I live, this happens almost every two minutes. Had I known about this app BEFORE I purchased the camera, there would have been no chance I would have bought the camera. ZERO STARS FOR THE APP!

  • Glitchy App

    Camera is very good. Unfortunately, poor wifi connection stability spoils the reputation and any good will associated with such an expensive item. Can connect iPhone to the U1000 but, it disconnects by itself after no more than one minute. Yes - iOS is completely up do date. Yes - Wi-Fi assist is off. Yes - firmware to the camera is updated as well. Really - how can something like this happen? Never mind lecturing the customer. Sell us a product without glitches. Things like this make me want to think twice before I buy another dash cam. How frustrating!

  • Better than it was

    Thinkware cloud being available. I can now monitor my car anywhere as long as it’s connected to hotspot. My personal cellphone stays in the car while im at work so I see everything.
    What I wish it would do tho is that I wanna be able to access that footage that triggered a light impact or motion sensor. Hope in the future they make it available

  • iCloud connection issues

    I cannot connect to iCloud , never been able to since I got the camera . Otherwise it works “ok” for me.. I have it set for “motion” detect while car not running BUT .. it doesn’t even do that . It runs 24/7 if I leave my car sitting for too long it will drain my battery , done it twice ! Even though I have it set not to . So I guess I’ve actually got more problems than I thought . But it does record decent videos , it does NOT save videos if say I hit a pot hole hard, it used to and then mark them as an accident. So I’m not sure why I still have it now since I’ve JUST noticed how many problems I’m having with my dashcam , front & rear.

  • Great Camera. Crappy App

    The Q800 Pro and the rear cam are excellent if you want to pull the microSD card and upload the video to a computer. Connecting to the app via WiFi I snt bad… but the HotSpot connection doesn’t EVER work… and I need my Wi-Fi connection because I have wireless Apple CarPlay. The app looks like it was tossed together by some first year programmers in high school. For a company that makes such excellent cameras, the App software is truly terrible.

    I have used Thinkware dash cams since the F50, my new F800Pro in conjunction with the Cloud app on my iPhone 12 is totally useless. Too frustrating to connect, changing to a different manufacturer
  • Can’t connect

    Tried connecting to hotspot on my phone and then it asks me to connect to Wi-Fi?? Gave me the option of hotspot of Wi-Fi so why is it when I choose the hotspot option, I have to connect to Wi-Fi?? Cannot get the camera to connect at all. In addition, why do I need this app to connect my camera and another one for viewing videos? Sort it out for God’s sake. The app is an absolute waste of time. A monkey could have done a better job.

  • Suggestion for app

    Everything works as it’s supposed.
    I wish there was a way to zoom in when reviewing video from the app. Currently, I have to download, then transfer to my phone, then use the phone video app to play and zoom in.

  • Wifi and hotspot concerns

    I installed a F800 pro in a vehicle 5 years ago, so impressed with the camera front and rear I kept the system moving it into 2 subsequent vehicles I bought, everything was working fine until the last update that has completely fried my cam now nothing works.
    The problem I believe is that the update didn’t fully load due to the useless wifi dripping off even though the app informed me my camera was using the latest version. Now I can’t use anything at all.
    Like other comments on here the wifi is awful and I’ve never been able to use my iPhones hotspot the app always stated it was unrecognised
    Brilliant camera awful app do something urgently to fix these wifi and hotspot issues
