Wifi and hotspot concerns
I installed a F800 pro in a vehicle 5 years ago, so impressed with the camera front and rear I kept the system moving it into 2 subsequent vehicles I bought, everything was working fine until the last update that has completely fried my cam now nothing works.
The problem I believe is that the update didn’t fully load due to the useless wifi dripping off even though the app informed me my camera was using the latest version. Now I can’t use anything at all.
Like other comments on here the wifi is awful and I’ve never been able to use my iPhones hotspot the app always stated it was unrecognised

Great Dashcam
I’ve been using this dashcam for 2 years, the quality is great, downloading to smart phone is relatively fast,

Terrible software supporting a very high end piece of hardware
Title says it all I have the U1000 front and rear and bought as an upgrade from the BlackVue DR750S for better quality footage the U1000 does that but the app and cloud features are literally years and years behind BlackVue.
Thinkware LiveView works about 30% of time, never seems to upload footage to cloud to view when away from the car, very rarely does the GPS location work or update… very poor

Great camera, poor coms.
Whilst the camera appears to function well and provide clear images getting it to connect to my phone is dreadful.
Have a two channel Q800pro in my car single channel in partners car. Getting them to connect to iPhone 13 is never easy with either system.
Why do they call this app Thinkware Cloud. There is no such thing. I feel frustrated having spent a significant amount of cash.

Pile of junk
This App has to be the worst app I’ve ever used. Trying to connect my Thinkware U1000 to the Thinkware Cloud App is almost impossible, it keeps dropping out. I bought two of them thinking it would be good to standardise. Very Sorry decision.
I recommend people buy the Blackue instead - owners I’ve talked to say they have no issues with connectivity

Update
After my first review and an update on my U1000. App has been connecting much faster via mobile hotspot and auto connects to my home network. Only issues is if the app could be more user friendly, and connecting via live view does lag and occasionally loose connection.
Does not work
I would avoid Thinkware all together. You cannot view the videos on the go so why bother? The app simply does not work. I have spent two weeks sending emails to Thinkware with them not even trying to help. They sent did you turn on WiFi? I fully explained what I have done then they respond with there is a WiFi button. You have to press that and connect a phone wireless. Ah, yes. They think we are morons that cannot follow simple steps. I will purchase another brand and replace all of my Thinkware dashcams. The app loads, I can connect to the dash cam, but I cannot do anything else with it. I used to be able to with the other app, but that app just told me my camera no longer works with that app. I have three of these cameras, so never going to buy anything else from this company. I really hope they get their crap together.

Rubbish internet interface
My car had this camera, professionally installed when I bought it 12 months ago. The camera has recorded a couple of decent quality videos, but getting it to connect to my phone, is unbelievably stressful. I’ve lost count of the resets I’ve done, but as soon as I try to connect to the app, it tells me that it’s a security risk and then that there is no Wi-Fi and all the bars drop out.

Customer support non existent
Dashcam is really good. That’s where the pros end. Can NEVER sign into the app or website. Always get an error message saying that the username/password do not match, even after resetting the password. On hold for over 30min. Waiting to get help before I finally gave up. For a dashcam that is this expensive I think it’s fair to expect even the slightest effort for them to support the customer base. Probably going to take it out of my car and get a Garmin.

Ripped off
I feel like I’ve been ripped off. I paid $1300 at the dealer for this dashcam and I can’t even connect to view the footage?! Now I’ve got a ding in my car and nothing I can do to view who did it. Fix your connectivity, I’ve had $30 dashcams with better software.
