  • Ads ads ads ads ads ads ads….

This is an ad app with a little bit of battery function test built in. I promptly deleted because of nonstop ads. Terrible.

Hello. We made many updates to Amperes app. It now includes more functionality, better interface and other cool features. Please give it a try and if you will like it, let others know by updating your app's rating. Thank you! Regards, Andrew Thank you for your review. We do show ads in order to support the app development and keep the app free. Feel free to support the app for the huge amount of $1 🙂 that will completely remove ads from the app or you can get a premium app with no ads as well. Regards, Andrew
  • Doesn’t actually measure current or power

This app estimates current/power from the charger by measuring the time it takes to increase your battery by 1%, and uses that information, combined with the rated battery capacity to estimate the input power. This is very inaccurate as the % rate of change of the battery is not directly proportional to the charge current, and is effected by the state of charge, temperature and condition of the battery.

While you are mostly correct here, we do try to take into the account few of those factors while measuring. Unfortunately, there are no other methods to measure that at the moment, since Apple disabled the access for the developers. So it’s simple - get the data which might be 5-10% inaccurate or get no data at all. Regards, Andrew
  • Not sure of accuracy for iPhone 13 pro max fast charging

When I tested my 65 watt PD charger on my iPhone 13 Pro Max it gave me a test result of 48.9 watts. The phone was at 48% when I tested. Seems too high since the phone is only supposed to max out at 27 watts. Results from wireless charging seem to be ok. MagSafe showed 15.48 watts. Other wireless chargers showed 7.5-10 watts.

  • Junk!

Doesn’t work and just bombards with ads. Apple needs to do a better job!
  • Wrong information

Charge using USB-C 20W with the battery guage increasing pretty fast as fast-charging but the software show wattage at less than 5W (less than 1A), if it’s only calculate base on 5V input then the developer need some adjustment.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your review. This free version only uses 5 volt in calculating the wattage. iOS does not allow direct access to the charger information like voltage, and as such only 5 volts is used. Our paid app has option to manually override this limitation. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regards, Andrew
  • Very Useful Tool

Whenever a particular app shows itself to be exceptional, I am compelled to give it a positive review. I am aware of the difficulties that can arise when a developer submits an app to Apple for distribution on the App Store and I’m also aware of exactly how valuable a positive review by a consumer can be.
This app is easy to use, user friendly and very accurate if one follows the instructions provided. I had the opportunity to check test results with an outside charger testing tool and the accuracy of the results performed on the Amperes Lite app were surprisingly precise.
I also had the pleasure of dealing directly with the app’s customer support. My inquiries were met with prompt and courteous responses and I was impressed by the thorough nature of those responses. Customer support was very friendly but also professional and knowledgeable. 5 stars.

Hello. We made many updates to Amperes app. It now includes more functionality, better interface and other cool features. Please give it a try and if you will like it, let others know by updating your app's rating. Thank you! Regards, Andrew Thank you for your review. You can test it free on this app. Free tests regenerate in time and also you can watch an adds to do as many tests as you want. Difference versus other apps that copied Amperes functionality - they force you to watch ads and here you have an option to watch it or not. Do you think Amperes should also just feed you with ads like those apps and remove the auto regenerated free tests? Thanks for your feedback. Andrew
  • Free version is useless

Full page banner ads appear automatically at a regular interval of 30-60 seconds or so. Keep in mind that according to the dev, tests take 3-10+ min& you can not switch apps during the test or it will fail. Banner ad pops up, causing the current test to abort as the app switches over to view the ad. If the free version of an app is supposed to allow users to test drive the program at no cost, one would assume that basic functionality would be included. How do you expect someone to buy your app if this is their initial impression of the UX?

    Developer Response

Hello. Thank you for the review. App ads does not disrupt the test. Also it is only shown after the test was completed. So if you see big ad - your test was completed. If you will check any other competitor free app - they are not showing you one add per test....they will show you 5-6. So if your complain is that the free app has ads, well- you can get a paid one. And taking into the account that you are getting app that someone is developing spending years of their time for $1 or $2? Well, nowadays dirt costs more to buy... Feel free to contact me at support@criosoft.com if you want to discuss it. Best regards, Andrew
  • Says my iPhone 12p max is charging fast

Said my score was 6500 and charging at 35w , how is that possible ?

    Developer Response

Please run a few More tests. Also, if you see results that high - just ignore those. Lately, iOS started to report charging events not very precisely, and in cases like that, you would get very high results like that. Thank you. Andrew
  • Fake advertising

This app DOES NOT show the charging speed it claims
