Was hoping to use with my Mendota proflame remote but can't get past naming. Connect stays grayed out. Maybe the newer proflame remotes aren't compatible, IDK

Sorry you are having an issue. Did you purchase the upgrade? Your standard remote will not connect with the app without the bluetooth PCB being added. You can order that at www.flame-tec.com or a local fireplace dealer, then maybe we can get a 5 star review and not a one which may mislead people. Still have not heard from you again. Glad to help.+ Never heard from you again. Do you need assistance? Did you upgrade?

App keeps crashing when I try to hook up to Wi-Fi and the hub.

I have only been able to use the app with Bluetooth on my phone it is unable to hook up to the Wi-Fi via the hub. The whole reason I bought this device was to be able to use it on the Wi-Fi.

Does not connect freezes

I tried to connect with a Skysmart remote but the app freezes with naming a device and does not ask me to register or create and account. I have deleted and reloaded the app 3 times and it freezes in the same spot each time.

Worst App Ever

Simply doesnt work. On iPhone 13 Pro text boxes are cutoff. When you do get it to try to setup the hub it immediately crashes. I’m an app dev and you have to work hard to be this bad. Built in app on the hub device is broken as well. $300 piece of garbage

PLEASE FIX APP!!!

I love the concept of this and it does work for the most part. It runs through the remote then to the servo instead of being able to control servo directly.

Also app crashes every time I attempt to connect to my WiFi network…

App does not work

I can’t set up an account in the app as it does not send a confirmation number. The whole point to purchasing this was so we could control the fireplace via Alexa, but without being able to connect thru the app there is no use for this whatsoever. I also emailed the companies support contact and have not received any response yet. Can you please provide support to this app, so we can change our reviews of this product ?

Following back up on this, I have updated the app and still cannot create an account. I also called the support line and nobody has ever answered. We still have yet to use this as intended. Can you fix the bug with the app or provide other instructions for connecting alexa to our flame tec.

No email confirmation

Downloaded app and tried to enter a username and email address. It’s says it sent me a confirmation email to verify me and I never received it. Did this with two email addresses and neither received confirmation. I checked junk and spam folder but nothing their either. I want this to work and give a good review but if I can’t get in to the app then how can I review or use it?

Update:
Was told to update app and phone which are complete and still get no confirmation email to verify my account. Please contact me to remedy.

Noel, update the app to 2.9.7 and be sure your phone is updated to 15.3. We will call you and help walk through set up.

Difficult to use

First thing to note is that the app is push only. It does not know what the current settings are on the connected remote. It is also very slow to react. Setting the temperature sends a sequence that moves the temp by one degree till it maxes out and then backs it off, which takes time.

Also can’t get the app to stay open to connect the wifi hub. Haven’t been able to use it yet because the app crashes during setup.

App does not work

The app will turn on the fireplace but the moment you do anything else the fireplace turns off. Very frustrating. I have called all of the tech support lines and no one has answered or called back.

Best way to control fire

Love that I can operate fireplace from cell phone. No more lost remote!
