Great app but could use a better UI
Title says it all. Can someone update the app UI so it doesn’t look like it’s from 2012? Other than that it’s fantastic.
Not sure it is for non Asian speaker
There were no English to the meaning of the characters in writing except for the dialogue is being read. Definitely not helpful when you learn to write or flash card without English to tell you the meaning.

No Book 4 and Book 5 published yet
Have been waiting for ages but Book 4 and 5 still not yet in the store. Why oh why.
Good but interface is a little messy
Very good app. However, the interface is a little messy and can be confusing.
When is Dang Dai Chinese APP Book 4 coming?
Really love these books and these learning resources but have been waiting WAY too long for the next editions - Books 4, 5 & 6! MTC and Dang Dai developers, please get on it!
Good but more zhuyin
The lessons are good but in the practices and grammar, it would be nice to see the zhuyin there too instead of just in vocabulary. Definitely need some translations in the practice section. I have no idea what I’m listening to!
Contemporary Chinese program
Robust learning system that provides opportunities to listen, recite, read and write. Vocabulary and grammar are provided in bite-size pieces in logical, useful order. I’ve experimented with various mandarin self-teaching tools and this is the best. Also, it’s based on the text books used most commonly at universities in Taiwan.

One of the best Chinese language apps
I have tried many chinese language apps including Duolingo (which I also really like), Rosetta Stone etc but this app is comprehensive. The grammar explanations are clear, the practices are good. I am studying through MTC but this has enough material for self guided study. It’s good.
Great features but expensive and a little messy
Some great features, the readings sounded natural, useful to have vocab and grammar you can click on, and I especially liked the tone practice. On the downside, I wish there was a direct translation of the dialogue that was easily accessible or directly in the text. Seems weird that there isn’t. Also, lessons are super short and there are only 5 lessons in a bundle and several bundles. Seems like robbery to split things so much and price each so high.
