Description of What's Up by Strawberry Studio

What's Up is a fast card-flipping game in which you race to collect sets of birds first. To set up, shuffle the thirty double-sided cards, then lay them out on the table in a grid. Each card features 1-3 birds in one of four colors — red, green, yellow, purple — with the reverse of the card having either the same number of birds in a different color or the same color of birds in a different number. Thus, each number+color combination appears five times in the deck.

  • Great game, works smoothly!

This is a cute and clever game, and it plays great solo. The art design is cute. It’s easy to learn, and luck, strategy and memory are involved, but not in a way that’s difficult.

Another review said the animation speed was slow, but it’s not on my phone, it’s fast and just fine. The whole app works smoothly. No complaints here.

I would say this is best on larger model phones and iPads, I think on small phones the cards would be too small; maybe the game should have been adapted for mobile to involve fewer cards.

Still, this is a fun game for a great price with no ads or IAPs. We need good developers like this! Thank you developer for a good game!

  • Poor Animation Speed

This might be fun, but the card turn animation is maddeningly slow. There are ways to both mark the card turned and turn the card quickly. I also really wish that there was a gallery showing the fronts and backs of all possible cards in the game, to help me learn the odds I'm up against for various choices. The former problem is a much bigger problem, though, for solo play.

Give a flip speed setting or, better yet, a replay button if I miss a quick flip. The rest of the time when I haven't missed what's happening, I will be able to play much faster. Better yet, mark the card turned, and create a way to instantly see at all times what was on the other side of the card just turned.
