Awful
I’m not sure how anybody is expected to work if they are not being notified of the job openings. Our school district just switched to the Spur app from Frontline, and I fail to see how this benefits the substitute teachers at all. It is now increasingly difficult to pick up a job or to personalize where you work and what days you are available. I rely on this job to keep me afloat while I’m in school full time, and the switch to this poorly functioning app will now make that unnecessarily difficult.Show lessTo many issues and restrictions
My county school system is switching over to Spur staffing agency for all substitute needs. One of the problems and probably my biggest complain is that it does not send notifications to your phone when a new position comes available. Unless you are actively in the Spur App refreshing to see if there are job postings, you will never know. I’ve already missed many. The old app we used would notify your phone when there was a new post. You could also personalize it and select what schools and grade levels you wanted to sub for. You could mark yourself unavailable for certain days and personalize your calendar and availability. Right now Spur App is a hot mess and they need to work on these things so we aren’t all missing job postings. Why would you have us turn on notification settings if it’s not going to work? School starts next week and I can already tell I won’t be picking up as many shifts simply because there are no notifications and I’m not sitting all day every day refreshing my screen to see if I come across a shift. Very frustrating.Show lessPlease update yourself
Why won’t you allow notification alerts of job openings to notify the phone? Nobody has time to set around and constantly refresh their phone looking for openings. Please fix this to where you are actually alerted when an opening is put in for subbing. A banner pop up, a chime, something would be nice!Show less
