Would give zero stars

My daughter had a child trust fund with another provider who stopped doing this type of account, they transferred her account to here in September 2020. She turned 18 a few weeks ago and her account appears frozen since then. Overall the account is worth less than I have paid in and I’m glad I don’t have to waste any more money (minimum payment of £25 each month). I now have to try and work out how to retrieve her money as they app doesn’t let me read or check if there are any messages.

Hi there, Thank you for your review of Silo, and sorry to hear you have been having a bad experience with our app. Once a child trust fund matures, and they are now an adult, that account then belongs to your child. As such, they will need to download the app themselves and onboard to provide a form of ID. The £25 a month minimum investment is no longer a requirment, and we are aware this still displays in places. We are working on updating this, and sorry if this wasn't displayed to you clearly. Takes its time to give you your money

Been waiting over 2 weeks for my money just to be told I have to wait another week and they take money from you every so often so you end up losing money

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about the experience you've had withdrawing your money from Silo. We always aim to pay out any withdrawals as soon as we possibly can, but as funds held in silo are invested (rather than being in cash) assets need to be sold. This will always take longer than a straight forward cash withdrawal unfortunately, as the timeline for selling down funds is longer and markets can fluctuate. Nice app but not the best investment

Every time I look at this app I have lost more money. It’s become a standing joke except it’s not that funny to think how much more money I would have had if I just stored it under my mattress:-(

7/7 would put more money in if I wasn’t poor.

Great App

A great, easy to use, savings app. Would highly recommend - only issue I have with it is that every couple of days it logs me out and I have to sign back in via an email which is very tedious.

I’ve been using Silo for over 9 months now. Obviously investments are for the longer term but my account is already giving way better returns than any savings accounts on the high street and the app itself gets better and better with every update

Keeps logging out so touch doesn’t work.

This is happening on tablet and phone. Very very tedious. Insists it has to send an email to verify etc. Sort it out!
