Unusable on iPad 10
I’ve been using DataCamp on my iPad 10th gen, and while the app is fine for watching tutorials , I’ve had consistent issues when trying to type code. Every time I type more than two lines of code and switch back to the requirements, the app freezes. This has happened every single time, which makes it really frustrating to use for coding exercises. Opens to a paywall, could not exit the add, closed and went back in, may of it was useable I might given 5 stars but this shouldn’t be allowedDizzhead03
Great Tool for Learning and Developing on the Go
I’m satisfied with the experience. There are some instructors that are pretty dry and their voice makes me want to sleep. Nevertheless, it’s a great tool to learn. I do have a wishlist though. Give more examples of practical use in the slides. Make the slides downloadable with proper file names instead of Chapter 1… Make a single download per course. Add the bloody DataLab subscription to your mobile subscription list for crying out loud. I’m not a fan of having to cancel a mobile subscription because I don’t get that money back. And I don’t want to pay for a whole new year subscription to then turn around and another $90 for DataLab. So annoying.Show lessCoach’s Personal Account

The approach to learning, for a data science app, doesn’t seem to align with best practice. I’ve done two courses so far and they’ve literally all been 4-5 minute video lectures and 1-3 exercises. This isn’t ideal. Doubly so, when the exercises simply don’t load correctly and there’s no option in the app to simply say ‘exercise didn’t load’. While im enjoying learning new things, I also feel my belief that data scientists lack a sense of practical utility is being strongly reinforced.Show lessCitizenLoud

Now happily hired for a role that required 2 years of SQL while I only had less than a year academic experience. DataCamp built confidence and let me showcase my skills with a DataCamp project during a technical interview. I was ALMOST hired for a role much higher above the market rate for a starting data analyst. I plan on continuing to learn here after starting the role. I recommend DataCamp to everyone getting into Data Science. Resources used: DataCamp courses, practice, projects, assessments, workspace.

All learning portals have a bunch of videos. Some “popular” learning portals are overrated for having just videos, I’ve seen a few courses which comprises a bunch of documents and the user has to READ them, ridiculous. I can see Datacamp’s efforts of making the courses interactive and aiming to give a hands on experience as we learn. When it comes to learning Python, I dare say there’s none other like DataCamp. They have a very flawless UI, the practice stations for “on the go” learning are so helpful to refresh if you don’t have the time to go through notes. DataCamp is going to be responsible for creating a new generation of tech wizards. You guys should keep up the good work.
