  • So close to being good

Two major issues prevent me from purchasing it even using this app.

    1) it has an issue with phones with notches at the top (iPhone X, and beyond). It can not register Back, Edit or Ready (Should be “Save!” without spending minutes to try to hit it. Hitbox is too small. I spend more time trying to hit those buttons than I do filling out the form.

    2) while you can use wildcards, it does not DISPLAY all the data. It will only graph the last point. So if you have two metrics on a graph from wildcarding, it will only graph the last one received and oscillate between the two, I would expect it to graph BOTH metrics.

I would have emailed privately or filed an issue on your repository but there is no way to contact the developer. Sorry for the review.

  • Has a long way to go!

Trying with private MQTT server which works flawlessly with ESP32, Linux, Node-RED and other iPhone apps; but this app is really buggy and is very "moody" about connecting to MQTT (TCP/IP). Connection status message blinks on and off all the time attempting to connect! Please support this app! I will help you debug it if you need help! It works for me OK and other times, will not connect!

  • It Works!

I’ve tried a few of these MQTT based apps to control ESP8266 based relays and they’ve all pretty much not worked, or worked intermittently at best. This one connects solidly, with no problems, to my free cloudmqtt server unlike the others who seemed to throw up random port errors making successful connection a rare occurrence.

It’s a bit light on graphical tweaks but its reliability makes up for that.

  • Great start. A few tweaks and will be perfect.

I use this for embedded development so I can avoid a custom UI. Works mostly great!

Super important—Missing a momentary button! Press button to publish a value. Only a switch is available. Please add if possible. :)

Also, at least on adafruit, there is a bug. If you edit the dashboard while connected, errors appear at the server which can get you (as a user) temporarily banned.

  • Can’t configure iPhone XR

Many of the options don’t work on the iPhone XR. You have to hit the buttons by the notch multiple times and hope it eventually gets triggered. Uninstalled after 20 minutes of frustration.
  • Works great

Works great for me, but one complaint... the controls at the top of the screen (iPhone X) are hard to interact with. Too close to the top, and you have to tap slightly below the icons to engage them.
  • Great when you configure it correctly

This app has a great interface and works with mosquito broker.

Other reviews may say that they are unable to connect to brokers, but you must ensure that your broker is correctly configured for WebSockets and that the app is configured with the right port, SSL and authentication settings
  • I’m taking my review back

I was making different configuration now It’s working just fine

    Thank you so much

    Developer Response

Hi, what MQTT broker are you using? We can guaranty that our app is compliant with MQTT 3.1 . You need to use WebSockets like we clearly describe in the app. We have thousands customers than can connect to many different brokers. You can always send a mail via the short-cut in the app. Our support team mostly answer them the same day. On our website you can find FAQ that give some guidance for more complicated brokers. Thanks for your response, hopefully we can still help you.
