We have made a big addition to the app to let users favorite and request workouts from a trainer. New Features: - Favorite/request workouts - Program request now sends an email directly to Trainer Plus or your trainer with lists of exercises and workouts - Favorite screen now has toggle between exercises and workouts Improvements: - Filter screen restyling - New onboarding messages Fixes: - Filter for 'new' exercises working properly to populate all exercises - Workout list order staying consistent after going to workout details and back

1.2.3

March 11, 2020

We have reorder the exercise list so that more popular and common exercises appear first in the list. There are also new sorting options to see free and newer exercises, along with new content. New Features: - 'Sort by Newest' filter has been added to the exercise list. This allows you to see the newest exercises at the top of the list. Improvements: - Exercise order has been made to correspond with the date we created exercises in Trainer Plus instead of alphabetical. This way the most common exercise variations show up at the top of the list and the newest additions show up at the bottom (which allows for the 'Sort by New' feature). New Content: - We have added over 120 new exercises to the database recently which you will find in the app. These exercises include powerlifting, box jump variations, tire flipping and balance work, along with more stretches, planks, step up variations and others.

1.2.2

This version of the app makes small improvements to the logic to take care of the new shared workout library in the Trainer Plus platform and adds a new free filter for the exercise and workout list. With this former improvement, if users now request a workout program from a trainer with workouts from the list, trainers have access to those workout templates to use. This will make it easier to go from discovering content in the app to getting a program from a trainer. New Features: - added a 'new' filter for both the exercise and workout list that limits the list to only the free content that does not need to be unlocked with Premium. Improvements: - Fix so that paid trainers unlock all Premium content - Fix to keep Premium content unlocked after reopening the app after first signing in - Updated pop up for free trainers trying to access Premium content Changes - Added logic that keeps trainer free/paid plans working with new addition to shared workout libraries on Trainer Plus

1.2.1

January 10, 2020

We added new content, a new screen to alert about new content, along with improving the workout filters and their styles. New Features: Workout Filters - added a new 'workout type' filter so that users can find workouts focused on burning calories, strength, core, warm up, recovery, and mobility/stability. The 'equipment' filter was also changed to focus on the minimum equipment needed to perform each workout instead of focusing on the location. This means workouts are now tagged by bodyweight, bands, dumbbells, kettlebells, cable machine, or full gym. Workout filter design - we also changed the layouts of each of the filter screens to include descriptions of each of the different filters and give more space to select them. New Content Screen - added a new screen that shows up the first time users open the app after new exercise and/or workout content has been added. New Content: We have added around 130 new exercises which includes various exercise bands, bodyweight cardio, different variations of hip thrusters and step ups. Also added and will continue to add new HIIT, kettlebell, band and stretching workouts.

This is a completely new version of Fitness+ (formerly ExerGuide) with major changes: - Includes workouts, which include sets and reps, along with descriptions, exercise notes and supersets - Favorite and request screens have been combined into one screen - Premium content that can be unlocked with a subscription or signing in to an account that has been invited - Styling changes to navigation bars, lists, filter displays and buttons - Updated some existing exercise content with new media We heard from users of the old app and gym members using Trainer Plus that they wanted an app that contained exercises and workouts, so we built Fitness+. It has enough free content to get started, and the Premium content provides as many variations of exercises and workouts to put into programs. Enjoy this complete overhaul of our fitness discovery app and the new content, and subscribe to continue to get new content each month!

  • Okay

Takes a long time to load, would suggest offline access to be available
  • Good Idea, Needs Offline Access to Demos

I downloaded this app as a handy reference to check my technique & assembled 24 specific exercises as Favourites for core work, only to find I can’t load them, I just see endless cycling of the logo. This limits usefulness for exactly the kind of beginner for whom the resource is designed. (Seasoned athletes or fitness buffs will already know proper technique.) Also, the issue suggests to me that every single session is WiFi dependent, which costs those of us with rural WISP bandwidth caps some data allocation every time we work out.
