What attracted me to their Kickstarter campaign was the slickness of the watch. What kept my attention was its simplicity and ease of use.
This has held up in the week that I have been wearing it. I was able to figure out the swipe functions along with the button and bezel use pretty easily. You can even create your own watch face and choice of screen icons.
My one and only gripe is that I turned off social media notifications in the app, but I am still getting them on the watch. It didn’t recognise that I had also switched the notification option to silent. Because of this, my phone is lasting one day. I’m truly hoping that this gets addressed ASAP. It is an annoyance.
Outside this one issue, this is a great watch. I highly recommend it.
The data displays are clear and work well for a daily review. However, there are limitations for going back and looking at previous days. It can take multiple steps and the app always returns you to today rather than the day you were viewing. There is a large self advertisement at the top of the main screen (not sure why, they already have my money); it obscures the lower set of data on the main menu and requires you to unnecessarily scroll to reach it.
Most of this can be forgiven for a new app (it’s not). There are a number of interface, menu to menu interactions that take to many steps. Perhaps the most annoying is being unable to opt out of the “Please Review This App” pop-ups. They happen frequently, often 3-4 times per day. About 1 in 3 times when you open the app.
ZeTime is excellent for a first attempt. It’s not perfect, yet, but it’s close enough to earn five stars.
The MyKronoz team has met or exceeded every promise they’ve made. (Yes, shipping was a bit slow, but that was out of their control.) They promised three days of battery life (30 just as a watch) and delivered 5+. They promised a beautiful user interface and hit the money. They promised myriad functionality, and it’s all there and then some.
The app is a very good start, and will improve with time. The app probably needs the most improvement. That and some minor UX changes on the watch.
Overall: My Apple Watch wearing friends are really jealous, and for good reason.
This SmartWatch has so many features that are sure to get you all excited!
Lets go though a list!
- First, let’s say you were like most people and don’t get your required number of steps in for the day. No worries this watch is inaccurate and will give you extra steps that you didn’t actually take. How nice!
-Second, do you like to gamble? Because this watch will give you a weather report of anywhere from 25°F to 78°F. Knowing that type of range is great if you want to know that there will be weather tomorrow you just don’t know what it will be so prepare for everything rain, snow, wind, lava, you know the basics.
- Third, you never have to worry about trying to raise your heart rate throughout the day because this will tell you that your heart rate is anywhere from 30 to 50 beats faster than it normally is.
- Fourth, let’s say you like to change up your style frequently. Then you were perfect for this watch because you’re wrist band will break pretty easily so you can get a new one many times!
- Fifth, don’t like replying to your text but like to be able to read your text. Then you’ll really like this watch because you can’t reply to anything.
That’s just a small number of the features of this watch. If you like taking on things by yourself I would suggest getting this watch because customer service doesn’t help out anyway.
The watch is brand new and looks BEAUTIFUL! They are constantly working to improve the app, which is great. The still have some bugs to work out. I have sync issues frequently. I would also like to have the date be a little larger than it is. It’s way too small unless I have my reading glasses on.
I’ve had the watch and App for about 2 weeks now.
App - The sync to the watch seems to work occasionally. I often have issues with that. Otherwise everything seems to work out.
Watch - I love the watch. It’s a beautifully made piece. I seem to be lucky after reading some of the reviews. Works great with a few exceptions of heart rate and sleep tracking. Never been able to track sleep, and the heart rate is crazy. I’m either at my max or resting. Also I can’t figure out how to control music (probably user error).
Time, messaging, pedometer, distance, calendar, controlling phone all seem to work great though.
It’s clearly a first version.
I really like the look and the feel of the watch, I wish I could select which apps I would like notifications from on the watch. Currently you cannot select individual apps! This is a bummer because I would only want 6 apps to notify me on my wrist instead of all the apps on my phone.
Just got my watch from my kickstarter contribution yesterday. Nice looking watch, but the accuracy of the timekeeping and frequency of updates for the weather app leave a lot to be desired. With gps on the phone it is paired to, there should be no excuse for anything less than gps precise time...yet it either lags behind or progresses ahead. What can you do to fix these two glitches? If you could get those ironed out, this would be a 4 or 5 star review.
Love how it syncs up with the watch. You can make or add watch faces. Check all stats. Knowing there are a ton of websites that help build watch faces, you guys should either create a bigger library or add links to helps us build our own. I’m looking forward to the next watch you guys make. Now that you are established you can make another watch and out even more time into it and more quality as well. I’m loving my watch for sure. Thanks for creating it.
Heart rate monitor does not work while running. Not all options are enabled with iOS. Text msg responding only works when phone is out of reach. Heart rate monitor is all over the place even when holding completely still. Touch screen is not accurate with protective glass screen accessory. Can’t show activity features when uploading an image as the watch face; also won’t show numbers for time. Can’t customize pre chosen watch faces with custom widgets. I’m a runner and would like to customize your predetermined watch faces for activity, but your interface won’t allow it.
