Amazing!
I recently switched providers and numbers thinking it would fix my spam problem, however it was much worse. I was about to talk to the provider and figure out how a number can have so much spam. Multiple texts a day asking for money, to click links, my fake package has been delivered, or sending sexual texts or sugar daddy messages and emails through iMessage. It was honestly embarrassing to even have my phone with sounds turned on as these were constantly going off. This filter changed my life and now I get them all filtered out! I follows the setup instructions, but still I seem spam SMS. As far as I can tell, not a single message gets filtered.Konradsa
Works perfectly! The only filter you need.
So far so good! Until Apple Has any empathy for its users and implements filtering natively, SmartFilter is the solution.
I was slowly losing patience with the same spam over and over again, then I came upon this app and gave it a go. It catches what you don’t want to see and quietly puts it into a separate list from where deletion is easy. Apple, get it together!

Finally found something that works for spam texts
I have tried everything to try and get rid of spam calls / texts. I couldn't figure out how to get them to stop and nothing seemed to work and I tried everything. Many of them made it worse and I was almost to the point of changing my phone number, but I've had my number for a long time and I didn't want to change my number and get someone else's headaches... with the calls and texts. Anyway, I was looking through the app store and I stumbled on this one. I read the reviews and I thought I'd give it a shot... what do I have to lose. This app is amazing! I can't believe how fast this is getting rid of the spam texts from my phone! Thank you so much for such a great job with eliminating the frustration I used to have with my phone! I am grateful for this app. Some how my number got on some list that sends me unsolicited links to suggestive websites. This app allows me to put them where they belong, in the junk folder. Thank you developer person, I now do not have to hear my phone vibrate to bs.11111118383932
Great spam filter!
I didn’t realize iOS only filters iMessage spam and not SMS spam. We’re probably all being bombed with political texts and calls the last couple months and this app has effectively filtered all that garbage to my spam folder. Excellent! Recommended if you want to keep the spammers at bay.Carlentine
Relief at last
I have been plagued with texts for over a year since I got my current phone number. 3,4,6 times a day I get texts from a variety of fake phone numbers including alpha characters instead of numbers.
I blocked hundreds of numbers trying to avoid this spam. They just come up with more numbers. Sometimes there are 10 numbers as a group. I have to turn my phone off at night to avoid the early morning hours texts.
I’ve been using Smart Filter for less than a week and it sent 12 spam texts to the bucket without disturbing me once. Yay!Show lessNo more CM
Most likely selling our number
My original goal was to block occasional sms spam links. But since installing this I’m getting tons of unknown call.
The dev site is also just an Ad on medium.

The dev site is an article on medium about the app. I am the only developer for the app and I don’t have the resources for a full website.This app really works just like it claims!
I admit I might have been skeptical before I downloaded this app because I have been slammed with unwanted text messages that were either phishing scams or solicitation. I use iPhone 7 and downloaded the app and have no more problems! Thanks guys!!In need of time.
SmartFilter does not filter out anything
I’ve had the app installed for a day (and yes, I’ve enabled it in the settings of the messages app) and it is 0/4 in detecting spam SMS with the “SmartFilter” toggled on. Zero percent success rate.RagtimeTime
