Hi! Thanks for the feedback. We found a sneaky bug on iPad Pros. We think we have fixed it and we are in the process of testing the fix. It should be removed in version 1.1.0 that will be released very soon. Apologies for that but please know that is a top priority. If you are still experiencing an issue after the update, please reach out to us directly to the support email so that we can investigate further and fix your issue.

hope this games has good updates to come
  • A lot of Problems

Let’s see where to begin. I installed the game on both my iPad Pro and my iPhone 7 Plus. So my devices meet the minimum hardware needed for the game to run.

A few reviews mention the inability for the game to detect a game plane. I aim my devices on conference room tables and pan around slowly, making sure to show the edges, and still it doesn’t detect the table surface. I aim the camera on the carpet and it was successful in finding a plane.

When I finish the tutorial portion and I enter a player name I’m taken to the battlefield with other players and their mecs, standing around. The menus are no longer on the screen nor is the cross-hatch for aiming the camera.

I can’t move my robot because I don’t have the cross-hatch to select the part of the game board to go to, and my profile isn’t displayed on the bottom corner of the screen.

They rushed this game into the App Store!

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with the game RDinoso - we want to get this sorted out as soon as possible. First off, finding a surface. There may be couple of things that can help: 1) Lighting. Detecting a plane works best under good lighting conditions. It would be great if you are in a well lit room; 2) Surface itself. A surface that is very smooth, reflective and has little contrast, may reduce precision of tracking or ability to find a plane. So some other objects on a very uniform table can allow an easier plane detection. Currently we are allowing AR Kit to only detect planes. While this is offers the best tracking, we realize it may not be optimal in the two cases discussed above. So in the next update, we will allow ARKit to detect planes also through "Feature Points" if a surface is not detected right away. Regarding the other issues, we will need to dig a bit deeper. It would be great if you would send us an email to support@directivegames.com, and tell us your character name, and any other detail you may have on this. Thank you for your feedback RDinoso!
  • Confusing

The game overall is really interesting and a nice way to use the new AR technology, but it does have several flaws.
    - if im in singleplayer how come I can't pause the game?
    - if I moved like from a kitchen to outside, why can't I recalibrate the board.?
    - there are several bugs with the tutorial and the game, even with an A10 chip.
    - there need so be a better explanation of why certain heroes are locked.
    - can there be a way to not have to use a camera and instead just use the screen with pinch to zoom and other ways like how clash of clans does it?
    - I think it's a little too pricey for all these issues. In my opinion great idea but under developed.

  • This game is everything it promised to be

Love the graphics, and the augmented reality is on point! A really great buy.
  • The future of gaming

The app is really an amazing feat. The detail in the 3D models is super crisp and there’s something so magical about being able to physically move closer to zoom in to the battlefield. I just wish that maybe there was a slightly better description of the win conditions, but otherwise this game is solid.

  • Insane that’s all you can say best AR game so far

    Insane
  • Ambitious but poorly executed

Doesn’t nder well on a flat surface
Doesnt execute well once rendered (commands don’t execute or are very delayed).

If it has that many problems on a new iPad Pro, god help those with the older versions

    Developer Response

Hi there - sorry to hear you are having problems. We want to help and fix it. Does the delay response occur under particular conditions? Are you experiencing a delayed response during very intense battle moments? Commands normally have an immediate response and we would appreciate if you could describe more in details the issue you are having so we can work on solving it. Regarding tracking, we are currently allowing ARKit to discover only "planes", as it provides best tracking experience. But we realize that under certain light conditions or with very flat and smooth surface, that may not be best option. So in next update we will allow ARKit to anchor the battlefield also using "feature points". It shouldn't affect tracking but it will make it easier to discover a plane. Once again, thanks for feedback and please reach out to us again here or directly to our support email to kindly provide more details about issues you are experiencing.
  • The Machines

The Machines is AR game that allows you to place a panel in front of your living room or any other room and play with your close friends. The training is straight forward and easy, the controls I really simple. So far I’m a level two working on Level three and it’s going pretty well.

    But 5/5 star it’s totally worth $4.99
