Awesome game but hard at the start
I love the concept and the graphics as well as the sound effects. It really makes for a wonderfully immersive experience. Only main issue is how well the game explains things to you. For example, what are the exact requirements so I win a match or when do I unlock the other heroes? Also, I don’t know if it’s just me but I can never manage to get much damage at all on the opponents base with the excessive amounts of troops and defensive towers. I find myself usually defending the entire game without being able to actually attack. So maybe lessen that a bit? Another minor issue is that I think the trainer is too hard. Usually it’s an easy victory in most games but in this case, it’s HARD. I’m sure once I get a hang of things it will be much more enjoyable. However, these things make the start pretty annoying. Struggling to load on a plain surface
Doesn’t recognise my plain table with nothing on but can recognise a messy coffee table or my girlfriends feet on the floor?! Really need to update this app to correct these issues!Vdromeuk

Hi there! Sorry to hear about that. Sometimes ARKit plane recognition works better with some contrasts on the plane that is trying to detect. Also, lighting is very important. We noticed that if the amount of light in a room is low, plane recognition may take longer. We that being said, we are working to make the overall alignment experience better so that it will be easier to align the battlefield more precisely with the edges or a table for example. Fun little game but as mentioned by other users, the tutorial is lacking detail and leaves you to find out yourself, but this is the future and it works so well.
Also would love to see smaller maps/gamespace due to the current one being hard to work with on iPad.(:Jake:)
simply amazing!
Since seeing this game previewed at apples conference it had me wanting to buy it and now its here and I’ve played it I can say personally its really something you need to try to understand how good it is! to be able to walk around and get close to the environment with such detail and then also play the game and interact in the way you do is just something else! well done to the devs for this great game.Show lessScouseruk1210
Incredible showcase for AR gaming
Downloaded today works perfectly. Good learning curve incredible graphics and sound. ultra realistic battles and being able to move around the entire battlefield in 360 degree ARspace brings a really new dimension to the way you play a game. I love it. Well worth the price.strange neon
Badly designed and poorly explained
Sure it looks pretty cool and the AR is nifty. But what the hell am I doing? The “tutorial” briefly explains the controls and UI and the says “you’re ready to play” and dumps you in without explaining what the objective is. I’ve played two games where I destroy more towers, kill more heroes and gain more points than the AI opponent and I... lose? What the hell? What’s more your heroes do nothing unless you explicitly direct them and are useless without their abilities meaning you have to run around (literally) and micromanage them.
TL;DR it looks cool but for £5 it better be more than just a tech demo and that’s all that this is good for. If this is the future of gaming then I am not soldShow lessPedmeister

We take everyone's feedback at heart and will work towards making The Machines better, starting with the on boarding experience. Also, as more and more player come into the game, we are hard at work to fine-tune the progression system and overall balancing so that your efforts during battle will be better reflected in the outcome. Regarding the heroes, please note that The Machines is inspired by traditional MOBA gameplay, so there indeed a certain level of hero management. We are evaluating giving players to option to let the heroes move more independently. The more we hear from the community, the better game experience we will create. Hi Obboman. Firstly, we owe you a huge apology. Unfortunately, there was an overlook on our side which resulted in the wrong compatibility description. Apple’s ARKit only works with devices powered by A9 processor and above - currently iPhone 6S, 7 and of course the upcoming 8 and X as well as iPad Pro (1Gen and 2Gen). The compatibility description should have noted that and you shouldn’t have been allowed to purchase the game. This has been fix with a patch release earlier today. Secondly, we want to process your refund since you don’t have a compatible device. In order to do that, unfortunately you would have to initiate a refund request on Apple's website (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084). Once that is done, the refund will be processed - we have already notified Apple’s Customer support of this issue and working with them to have refunds out as soon as possible. Please do let us know if you encounter any problem in the process and again, sincere apologies.So cool !!
Really impressed with the game! But (at least for me) it crashes after I reach around 10 points. It happened twice so far. Should I reset my whole phone for the sake of the game? Or is the app still in beta? I’ve got the iPhone 7 Plus.P.I.D

We would like to understand better where it crashes and have our engineers reproduce the issue and squash the bug.
