Positives:
1. It lets you import images so you don’t have to take crappy images on your device and instead you take images on an iPhone 11 Pro and airdrop it there and import it.
2. It’s very easy and simple to use.
Negatives:
1. IT CRASHES SO MUCH!!! Like so much I’m getting a different app.
2. It won’t let even do a voiceover! No sounds or anything- for the free version.
3. I am aware you can change the speed but when you want something to walk fast but it’s walking like people in the Justice League it’s a bit annoying. The fastest option is SO slow.

If you are trying to make VERY short stop motions then yea do this app. If your someone whose trying to make a short story then I would suggest a different app.
Also, if your a developer reading this I would appreciate if you respond. It would be a Christmas miracle because of all the ratings I write none of the developers ever respond.

Great App
I love using Life Lapse for short stop motion. I currently use the free version, and I would upgrade to the full version if it wasn’t so expensive!
I feel that $66 a year for an app is not worth it. I could buy professional software for a little mow than that. A one time purchase of around $10 seems much more reasonable.

Descent and Pretty good
It’s a descent app, useful and easy to use can be a titchy bit confusing but there is one thing ,when you play it back it - annoyingly- says “ made with life lapse” in bold writing in the corner😞, I know this is for advertising reasons but it’s quite annoying and please could you change it 🙂
I would suggest doing it at the end of the video so it’s less annoying and you can still advertise your app 👍
Overall it’s a good app and better than a lot of the others I have tried so if you are stuck on which stop animation app to get I would recommend this one 🙂🙂

TLDR: have a redundancy plan of using this app. We have been taking short videos since my wife discovered she was pregnant. We are at week 15 now and we were so pleased to see the changes week by week. Today while generating a preview of the film in it’s entirety, the app crashed. Upon restarting, the entire project was gone. All videos containing 10 weeks of our journey is just gone. This is awful. Do yourself a favor and have a backup plan. Save your videos and don’t rely solely on this app. For the price there ought to be a cloud save feature but I suppose they were too busy selling an instglam lighting kit to invest in that. Luckily, I’ve been using my DSLR kit to make my own film and have that to fall back on. Not everyone will and someone my find they’ve trusted this app to document their journey only to see it lost. It’s a good app when it works. But this kind of loss is too much to recommend it.Show lesseamonp-uk

This app is so incredible! You can make quality stop motion videos all for free. You can see where you just were for each frame which makes it a whole lot easier. Great job on this amazing app!! ❤️Luckypug77

It is a great start to a tool that could be great. However a huge problem right now is lack of a voice command to take a photo. Check out the free YOYI app as an example. Just say “YOYI” and it takes a photo. I do prefer Life Lapse over that one because it packs more features. But having to purchase a clumsy Bluetooth remote to take a photo just means more to fumble with during a shoot. This needs a voice command. Life Lapse also needs a better icon. It’s dreadful and not something I want on my home screen alongside other well designed icons on a dark background. Please also add a dark mode like YOYI has. My final and biggest complaint is the developer greed of $3 every month. This is so unnecessary. This is a $3 one-time cost app at best. Please stop the developer greed of always having a subscription just because you can. I’ll use it for now, despite everything I’ve said, but as soon as another app comes along that doesn’t have these problems, I’m out.Show lessBobYourUncle

We are a business which is why we need to have premium features in the app so we can pay our team to continuously make improvements in the app and pay for stuff like song licensing. Unlike other free apps like Instagram, we do not bombard Life Lapsers with advertisements from other companies, which is why we need to have paid features. People can download and use the app for free, you can literally create 1 million videos for free in the app. We offer a 7-day free trial for people to test out all the pro features in the app. If you don't see the value in the pro features by the end of the trial, you are more then welcome to unsubscribe, not be charged and continue using the free version. :) Life Lapse helps people create stop motion videos up to 10x faster and 400x cheaper than using a DSLR, expensive editing software and the need for a computer all for around the price of one cup of Starbucks per month. - Sarah Boland, Founder & CEOIts awesome
I love this app I’ve made at least 20 stop motion videos the only thing I would do is I cannot download the videos from stop motion into my photos other than that I LOOOOVE this game 😍😄mesha kk

If you imported photos from your phone gallery, unfortunately, you won't be able to export them unless you get the Pro version. Or you can try our 7-day Free trial to export those you've created. Best app I’ve ever purchased! Love this so much and highly recommend. OK but I do have a few suggestions. First off, maybe you could add a feature where you could and put music into your stop motion.
