Reviews of Mount Umunhum

  • Audio won’t play over Bluetooth

This app looks interesting and the audio sections are neat. However, it is not possible to listen to the audio using wireless headphones. When I switch the audio source to the iPhone I can hear the audio just fine, but when I switch to a connected Bluetooth device, I cannot hear anything. I’ve verified that this issue occurs across a range of Bluetooth headphones and speakers to ensure that my headphones weren’t the cause of the problem. The cause of this problem appears to be that the developer coded this app such that it does not play audio at the OS level but instead plays audio at the software level, almost like an embedded player on a webpage. I can tell this because when I open the Control Center while playing a section of audio in the app, the mini player in the Control Center stills shows the title of the latest podcast or song from Spotify. It does not detect that this app is playing audio.

It would be wonderful if this app could be updated to play audio through iOS instead of through the app.
