Insufficient directions
The game was pretty good, but the mini puzzles were baffling. Not that I could get the answer - it was that the directions were so bad I couldn’t tell how to start finding the answer. The puzzles might have been good, if I’d been able to figure out how to play them. I do a lot of HOG’s, and these were the worst puzzle directions I’ve ever come across.Romancemama
Good game, wish there was more background …

Ridiculous
I have over 60 BF games, most of which I truly love. Many of my favorites are MCF games. I don’t know what’s happened but Eipix seems to have lost the plot on this one.
This storyline is absurd, characters are unimaginative, hidden object screens are just plain silly and the puzzles, which is my main reason for playing, are nonsensical and tailored to school children.
I’ll be exceptionally careful about purchasing games from this developer in the future.Slygal4150
Good story and puzzles, too short
I really enjoyed this game. The puzzles were reasonable and not too much back and forth. But way too short. The prequel in the collectors edition should have been expanded and part of the main game.DtGrl
Good puzzles and games
I don’t play games for the cut scenes or the storyline so if this something you like this review probably wont mean much, but I do love a detective game where you can change locations and they bring new and different puzzles This one truly has great puzzles combined with great detective sequences. *It has a map to show you where to go if you get stuck (on easy level). *It doesn’t have any upgrades or “lives” to cost you any extra money! *It has good hidden object scenes. I wouldn’t say they are the hardest Ive ever come across, but they put them in at the right times and it works nicely. *You can replay all the hidden object scenes whenever you want after you’ve finished the full game *There are a few difficulty levels to choose from and there is always the “hint” button if you ever need it. *The price is fantastic for what you get! And Big Fish Games has the best options for this style of game: a little detective work, HOS, location changes, thought puzzles (although I always skip the math ones haha,) etc. *Big Fish Games has the best graphics out there for this kind of game. I would recommend all of their Mystery Case Files Collection including Ravenhurst as well as their Bound series and Queen Sands. 5 stars from me! Happy Puzzling fellow Detective Puzzlers!!texasbaby
Couldn’t stop playing this!
Such a fun game. I didn’t want it to end but I also didn’t wanna stop playing! The puzzles were sometimes hard but having ability to skip part or whole puzzle helped a lot. I paid for full version and I rarely do that. Can’t wait for more games like it but would also be great if it were free!Aidyn B.
Major problem
The bonus game can only be accessed when the main game is completed. If you leave the bonus game at any point before it is completed, you can no longer access it to continue. You must play the main game again. 2 stars for this reason.L35hmv6
Loving This
I love how dark this game is. It pulled me into the story, right away. I am put back by the audio errors. Within the first Chapter, I lost the audio from the characters. I also occasionally loose the audio from the game.MaxD'smom
Above the norm
I play a lot of these games. This one is quite long and creative. It has more than just HOPs for games. I only wish I could go back and replay some of them separately once the full game ended. Still worth the 5 stars though. Keep these up. Looking forward to the next one.Freelancer66040
Black Veil
Interesting and nice long game. Mail problem is that game is way too dark. Puzzle items are almost impossible to read. Turned brightness up all the way and still too dark.
Love hidden object games but almost impossible to find or read items you have to find. I had to use a hint or several just to find items plus it slowed me down and took the fun out of the HO game.gramz girlz
