This app is amazing! If you live in central Florida - get this app! I look up restaurants ALL the time to ensure I’m eating in a clean establishment. Great work team on this

Florida doesn’t put ratings in windows

I grew up in Florida, moved to California for 15 years, then came home. There’s a TON I don’t miss about California, especially the ridiculous cost. But, I do miss having healthy grades in the windows of all restaurants! This app replaces that very conveniently for me. Yay! I just open the app with location services turned on and it shows me nearby restaurants with their grades. I don’t even have to drive door to door to learn the healthiest picks. Thank you LifeKitchen!

I’m so glad this app is available. It’s nice to know how well an establishment is operated. No one wants to suffer food poisoning.

Fantastic App!

Now that the app automatically updates with the most recent inspections, it’s time to start using it again!

Want to find a place nearby to eat? The app lists restaurants by how close to where you are. Then, check out the violations from their recent inspections to help you decide.

Unfortunately, the state made a change in their database structure which broke our automatic feed download and update mechanism. We always strive to provide the most up-to-date inspections (we process these from the state databases at 4am each morning). This issue has now been resolved so you should see up-to-date results in the app.Thanks for your review and we hope you enjoy using LifeKitchen!

Out of date information

The developers have a great idea for an app, but they seem to have stopped updating the data. Every restaurant I checked had more recent inspections than were showing on the app.

I can’t believe this app is free

I don’t think this app is still being maintained, but whatever API they used to obtain the data is still showing freshly updated reporting results. It’s easy to use and so incredibly useful, especially since Florida’s restaurants are not required to display their health inspection scores. I was relieved to find that most of the places I frequent had A scores (and heartbroken that a couple were C’s and D’s, which I won’t visit again until they improve—but VERY glad to know the truth!) I wish I could buy the developer(s) a coffee for putting this together and providing it for free.

This app is being actively maintained after being stale for a bit.... we needed to move to a new version of the development platform to be compatible and it took us a bit of time with business priorities. Should be all good to go nice and fresh now! Appreciate your thoughtful review!

This is a fantastic app that does exactly as advertised. It’s clean, organized, and all functions operate as intended. I’ve already found several nearby restaurants I may have to reconsider eating at after seeing their violations.

Location changed
