  • Hope is a Thing with Feathers...

I rate this app two because I hope what I find wrong with it will get straightened out. It is potentially so much fun, but: (1) What instructions there are are lousy. For instance, instructions say pieces can’t be moved diagonally — but nothing explicit about their weaving through occupants on board to reach goal — some of which moves amount to diagonal! And there is no mention that 4+ blocks aligned on a diagonal will evaporate. (2) There is nothing about how one’s activities are scored. (3) There is often no return from the informational pages. Twice I’ve had to delete the app and reinstall it just to get back to the game. (4) The scoring record is non-existent — correction, it’s there but has nothing to do with my games and my scoring. I got a “new high score” message for a 348 a bit ago — I had over a thousand on a game earlier today. There is NO record of any game I have played . . . //. ONE VERY BIG POSITIVE The ad situation isn’t — anything at all! Which is nice but if this is a free app??? // I am glad I like exploring the unknown but enough is enough. Maybe I’ll reinstall after I leave it alone for a bit. I thoroughly enjoy the other apps by this developer, so Hope, the thing with Feathers, springs eternal. [see Emily Dickinson poem for hope and thing with feathers]. Blessings and thank you.
