This has to be the worst investment platform and app I’ve ever seen. You can’t even see basic information like investment return or graph or really anything useful. It’s like they don’t want to show how poor the performance of the funds they offer are or how much they charge you.
Since it’s your employer that decide to use Smart Pensions, you don’t have a choice and that’s likely why they provide the bare minimum and don’t bother improving anything.

Competitor apps are better
Easy to login, use and change investments but it’s missing a very key feature - showing how much profit or loss you have made from your investment which is bizarre to me. It’s like a savings account not showing you the interest rate.
Flawed login management and annoying cookie warning
This app appears to be a fairly thin wrapper around the Smart Pension website. Annoyingly this means you’ll be presented with the cookie warning popup every time you use the app (due to stupid EU regulations).
Also the app frequently freezes on a dark blue screen when I open it. And it often loses my login session, meaning I have to provide my details again and enable biometrics every time.
The app experience could be so much better if they invested in it.
It’s probably easier just to use the website in Safari.

Really easy to use, great self-service
I find this really easy to use, it’s got great self-serve capability and I use it like I use my banking apps

Simple to login using Face ID, and easy to use to track my pension value.
Great to keep track of my pension
Since I started working I’ve always had a workplace pension but have never known how much I had in my pot… or even which provider I was with in some jobs! I like that I can give it a quick check every now and then to see how much I have. It’s easy to navigate around and better than searching through paperwork to find details for things.

Great to be able to easily access your pension
A really easy to use app. What I like most about this app is that you can view your pension, make important changes to your account without having to go to a desktop. Super handy.
Useful
It's incredibly useful to see my contributions every month, and the graph showing my growing pension is very motivating.
One suggestion: it would be great to receive a notification once a new contribution is processed.
