Good enough
App hasn’t been updated in 4 years. It is pretty good as it works over wifi and you don’t require to be in the vicinity of there BBQ but needs to have background app refresh as you have to keep checking to see if the food is at the correct temperature. Once the phone screen is off you don’t get a warning that the food is cooked.

It worked for awhile
It needs to be updated for IOS 16. When I first got mine, it was for IOS 12, now we’re on IOS 16 and it hasn’t worked since 15. The lack in the ability to keep up with operating systems is annoying.
Well, this is bad…
No way to create an account in the app that I can find so I went to the website and created an account.
The app still says “Account does not exist.”
Off to a rip roaring start…

Works Flawlessly for Me
No clue why the reviews are sooo terrible. I bought a Prograde wifi temperature gauge from Walmart on clearance for $6. Followed the instructions and downloaded this app. Connected it to my wifi and have had zero issues. It’s just as accurate as the built in probe on my Recteq pellet grill. It connects to my home wifi and I can keep track of temps on the go. Love it.

Spying?
Refuses to set up the app unless I allow access to my GPS. Why does a thermometer need my location? Immediately uninstalled the app.
Works great
Works great for me. Just have to pair every time I use it.
Enable background app refresh!
Would be 5 stars if the app developers would enable background app refresh so you would get a timer alarm to trigger when the phone is in your pocket and not just when the app is open and you are staring at it, seems like an oversight on their part.
Works perfect
I absolutely love my prograde WiFi thermometer. Works as well as thermometers 10x the price. App works well. I am able to put meats in smoker and monitor from anywhere. Only negative is app only supports one thermometer at a time. I currently use 2 thermometers. I monitor one from my iPhone and the other from my iPad.

No, you do not get location permission.
No, you don’t get to enable location permissions to monitor the temperature of the food on my grill.
Not a smooth set up. Privacy concerns too!
The set up is not as seamless as you would expect. I think it is outrageous that it needs to use your GPS location at all times in order for it to work. I tried it without and it just does not work. How dare they require you to use your GPS for a simple Bluetooth thermometer. Talk about privacy concerns and a battery drain! Ridiculous.
