The game is rigged to make you pay to upgrade to win battles
Almost a year of game play and gave them enough money to be vip 12. Despite that, I have no maxed out cards because the game is designed to give our very little level upgrade items, which forces player to have to directly buy them with real money. At $20-$50, you’d have to spend $1k just to max out 2-3 cards. That’s just insane. The game eventually reaches a cap where you can’t beat any more battles because your didn’t max the cards. So I’m stuck doing just the daily quests and waiting around for the special events, which is just a gimmick to get you to buy new cards and siphon off even more upgrade items. Ugh. This is not a sustainable gaming model. Word of wisdom, resist spending money. Just okay did fun until you can’t progress then play a new game.

cannot stop playing
The game is simple, you do not have to buy over and over to progress. But to be able to scale up faster, you can spend several bucks at the start. You do earn coins if follow a few requirements. The coin is relatively convertible so you can exchange it to a few big players on Metamask.
Scam pay to play game
Game is a scam if you want to make progress you’ll have no choice but to try and grind (loot boxes) for every card in the game and than grind to level them up all of which will take years to do
Also the game is stupid hard easy at first and then dumb hard for no reason
Also most Special events lock most of your cards away meaning you gotta use cards you either don’t have or are to low level to use
To level up you gotta grind thousands of resources and thousands of coins to simply get one level up
Been playing for the past year and I can say for certain this game is legit just a big fat F U in the face
Also I’ve opened a bunch of chests and I only ever got 1 4* star card all my other four stars I had to grind for ages
So even if you pay for gems your chances of getting anything good is less than 1% and even if you get something decent it will take far to long to level up and remember you’ll have to upgrade EVERYTHING if you want a chance at the special event stuff
Story was fun and challenging until they decide to also lock your cards in the story so now you gotta spend more money either on gems to pay for more chests or you buy a 4* star chest for 120$ no kidding just so you could maybe get one of the cards you need to continue the story

P2P ONLY, beyond P2W
Originally heavily pay to win, recent event made the game pay to play only with the limitations set. Amazingly bad.. pity the td element is not bad. Greedy dev ruined it.
Not for medium or long term play
Tower defense is my favorite mobile game type and a I’ve played all of the major ones. This game had potential to be the best but it is plagued with several problems that make it unsuitable for serious consideration. Save your money and sanity … find a different game.
The problem is game balance. Somewhere around player level 50, it becomes impossible to make progress in the ongoing campaign, even against “Easy” levels and even when our forces have substantially higher power than the enemy. You can try AoE towers, chain lightning, slow towers, rapid fire, poison, extra attacks, special defenders, etc and nothing helps. Nothing except (maybe?) buying and upgrading super rare 4* AoE cards. I’ve played daily for nearly a year and have only drawn 1 such card. But, by the rules of the game this card is sometimes disallowed and sometimes rebuffed. In essence, you need 6 to 8 of these. In essence, you have to buy these at great expense.
VIP benefits are almost meaningless. Clan support is bad. Friending is meaningless. Money is the only way ahead. If you want a fun game for 3 months, go ahead and play. If you like a long term game you can play for a year or more, forget it. The devs do update the game regularly, but they don’t even have an in game mechanism for taking suggestions like these. They don’t care if players are having fun, just that they but the in game currency.

Do not spend money on this game!!
I’m resorting to this as no other option seems available. This game offers perks (VIP points) when you spend money. I recently spent some money to get some VIP perks and after an update, more than half of my VIP points disappeared, despite the game guidance saying that VIP points should not reset. The game literally ripped me off. I paid money for something that was randomly taken away. I tried to address this via the online chat function on the help/faq section and was ignored. It’s an enjoyable game but whatever you do, don’t spend any money on this game! I’ll delete this review when the developers either restores the perks that I paid for or refunds my money.

Lost my support.
I used to be quite happy playing this game and chucking a bit of money at it, knowing I was getting some tower back for playing.
Then they introduced “having to own certain cards/nfts” to be able to claim any tower rewards.
Oh and if your thinking or purchasing an “event chest” I’d think again.
I bought one thinking I was gunna get a card from that specific event.
I didn’t, I ended up wasting a load of gems on a 1 star card that I already owned.
Compete scam if you ask me.

Good game
This game makes interesting challenge for you which is why you always wait for energy to get full and play more.
But more interesting feature is that the items can be traded with other player in future but I wonder when it will be possible to trade our card. Anyway if this feature starts to work the game becomes number one game between crypto games.

A grind, but fun if you are into it.
I’ve been a fan of tower defense games for a long time. I also enjoy collecting and upgrading. This game combines those two nicely. As with most collecting and upgrading games, it will be a bit of a grind, especially at higher levels. There are a lot of cards! So you will have to pick and choose which cards you want to upgrade. There are different events that come around regularly(both individual and group events). Some of these will restrict which cards you can use. I actually like this aspect as otherwise I would probably use the same set of cards every time. It makes me rethink my strategies and invest in different cards. It helps to know what to spend your crystals on as the drop rates in chests are pretty bad and you can disillusioned if you spend a bunch on them. That said, the occasional 4 star does pop up in free chests. If you know and accept it will be a grind, are able to find a decent clan to join, and enjoy this type of game, you will enjoy this game as it is probably the best of its genre.

I have been looking a long time for a tower defense game where you don’t necessarily have to pay to progress and compete.
It’s a lot of fun as it has a lot of variety.
You have the option to watch some commercials for faster progress but it’s not necessary.
