Altimeter Watch is designed to take advantage of the GPS in your Apple Watch Series 2 or 3. It provides you with a graph of your altitude history.
There is an included complication that will periodically update to show your most recent altitude.
Altimeter Watch also includes oxygen monitoring features! The real-time altimeter display on the watch will now show you how thin the air is, as a percentage of the oxygen available in the air at sea-level.
There is also an oxygen percentage history graph, to visualize how much oxygen you've had available in the recent past.
This oxygen percentage will also show up in some complications. (O₂@SL - Oxygen at Sea-Level).

To allow for more frequent GPS data collection, this app includes a Workout Mode. When recording a Workout, the Altimeter Watch app will stay in the foreground, and show your altitude history every time you raise your wrist.
When Workout Mode is stopped, your workout can (optionally) be saved to Apple Health.
Using Workout Mode decreases battery life, please only use it when you need detailed altitude data.
The app also includes a companion iPhone app that allows you to inspect the data points collected by the Apple Watch in detail.
Altimeter Watch only works with Apple Watches that are equipped with built-in GPS. This app does not work with Apple Watch Series 0, or 1. It also does not work with iPads.
Altimeter Watch is most accurate when your watch has a clear view of the sky.
----
Note: The Altimeter Watch oxygen monitoring features are estimates only, and may be inaccurate. Altimeter Watch does not at any time guarantee a healthy or safe breathing environment. Users of Altimeter Watch should have property training, professional supervision and a backup source of oxygen available at all times, especially when either above 300m of elevation, in poorly ventilated spaces, in locations where dangerous gases may be encountered, or any combination of these scenarios.
GPS altitude data can be inaccurate indoors, and in enclosed vehicles such as aircraft. Altimeter Watch is not to be used as a primary source of data for aviation, navigation, or surveying.
----
If you choose to enable the oxygen monitoring features, payment will be charged to your iTunes account, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Auto-renewal may be turned off at any time by going to your settings in the iTunes Store after purchase. Current oxygen monitoring subscription prices are $1.49USD for 3 months, $3.49USD for 6 months, and $5.99USD for a year. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and may vary in countries other than the U.S. and are subject to change without notice. Cancellation of the subscription will result in oxygen monitoring features turning off.
Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase.

What's New in Altimeter Watch
1.0.7
August 12, 2019
- Fixed an issue where the watchOS app would either fail to start, or run very slowly because of too many altitude history data points.
- Altitude and Oxygen History graphs will only be displayed for data collected while in workout mode on the watch. Altitude data collection is too sparse to provide an accurate graph when not in workout mode.
- The Altimeter Watch complication will be updated periodically when you raise your wrist to view it. The frequency of these updates is limited by watchOS restrictions.
This is an excellent app with lots of valuable info. But it won’t work as a complication on the watch face on an Apple 4. This needs an update! Have to give it 2 stars because it should have been updated as a watch face complication on Apple’s latest watch.
