Description of DNZ Take Control Toolkit

In November 2016, we launched this range of online support and information tools called the Take Control Toolkit. The Toolkit offers a comprehensive range of information and advice for you and is grouped into four important areas– Health, Wellbeing, Food & Nutrition and Physical Activity. This Take Control Toolkit has been designed to help people better understand and manage their diabetes and over 40 online materials in downloadable print or video forms will be made available. There is a lot of valuable information and the individual ‘tools’ have been developed so you can use all of them together or choose from the ones that are more relevant for your needs. Reviews of DNZ Take Control Toolkit

Leave a Review DNZ Take Control Toolkit
  • Use-ability

The information is dense and hard to read on a phone because it’s not mobile friendly. When I open an article I can’t get back to the app which annoys me. I think the article is opening in a pdf which takes me away from the app.
It’s good to have the quality and trustworthy info. I know it’s coming from a good|reputable source.
It’s meant to be a toolkit, I didn’t find it very toolkit-like. It’s just a bunch of text documents

  • Disjointed sub titles that don’t merge

As others have said you have to quit the app to leave a specific subject it’s simply a compilation of brochures in PDF form not helpful at all tbh
  • Wasn’t helpful

Came looking for advice on diabetes, diet and health but this wasn’t helpful.
When you read a page, you have to quit the app and reopen.
Some Of the symptoms parts, didn’t give an answer but instead just repeated the question.
NZ Diabetes should do better and find out what people really need and want.
