Version History of SignalScope X

12.6

October 30, 2024

- The IO Device Configuration menu now includes a Soft Gain option in the output options section. The software gain is a digital scale factor applied to all output signals just before they are sent to the hardware. The intent of this is to support listening to low level signals (play-through or internally-generated) in potentially noisy environments. - Re-loading data files at launch for averaged data in the Octave, FFT, and Dual FFT analyzer tools has been made more robust. - Fixed some cosmetic issues.

More

12.5.1

July 31, 2024

- More general improvements, including more informative alerts in certain cases when loading a data file fails. - Fixed a potential crash in the Dual FFT Analyzer and another that sometimes occurred when Run In Background was switched off.

More

12.5

July 10, 2024

- Improved handling of data and audio files. On newer versions of iOS, external files (e.g. on iCloud Drive) can be opened in-place instead of being copied into the app sandbox before opening. - Significant improvements have been made 'under the hood' to ensure that the app runs well on the newest operating systems. - Another normalization option has been added to the Polar plot. Polar data can now be normalized with respect to the maximum value, rather than the value at 0 degrees. - Other minor cosmetic and stability improvements. - Several improvements have been made for when SignalScope is run on Apple Vision Pro: - The local IP address is updated correctly for sharing data files from SignalScope through a standard web browser (using SignalScope's built-in http file server). - Nominal Vision Pro microphone sensitivity has been added. - Zoom, pan, and swipe gestures now work much better.

More

12.4.2

June 11, 2024

This update fixes a bug in the limit to how many subtools can be added to the MultiTool on iPhone.

12.4.1

June 11, 2024

The Polar Plot level scale now properly updates the values per division according to the selected number of divisions in the Display Options menu.

12.4

June 5, 2024

- The Polar Plot supports new display options, including data normalization at 0 degrees and the option to close the path (connect the last and first data points with a line). Data with angle values in descending order is now supported. - Several cosmetic improvements have been made to the Polar Plot. - Improvements to data file import. - Octave Analyzer performance improved with high sample rates (e.g. 192 kHz), and auto-start triggering is more robust. - Improved auto-calibration behavior in the File Player tool. - Other cosmetic and minor improvements. - Stability improvements.

More

12.3

February 29, 2024

- Support added for Dayton iMM-6C measurement microphone, including automatic retrieval of calibration information after entering the product serial number. - Corrected a misplaced cursor issue in the Octave Analyzer when displaying secondary levels as well as data loaded from a file. - Fixed an issue that could prevent saving data to MAT files. - Other stability improvements.

More

12.2

January 5, 2024

- Support for a few basic Shortcuts (e.g Start, Stop, Save Data) to enable control of SignalScope via the Shortcuts app, Siri, or AppleScript. The Shortcuts feature requires at least iOS 16 or macOS 13.

More

12.1

July 21, 2023

- The Spectrogram now supports user-selected min and max frequencies. - The Spectrogram now supports graphing with time on the vertical axis (consistent with a typical LOFARgram). - The Spectrogram includes an Auto Stop function for stopping after a user-defined period of time. - When exporting Spectrogram data to a file, the magnitude data will be stored as decibel values when the dB scale is selected for magnitude values in the display settings. - Support added for the latest Digiducer USB Digital Accelerometer models. - Other cosmetic and minor improvements.

More

12.0.12

June 8, 2023

- Help files now adjust to dark mode. - The Recorder tool no longer reports a problem when audio file metadata is successfully saved in the file. - Fixed a bug which hid the last physical input channel's gain controls on Mac. - Other cosmetic and stability improvements.

This app is cool it has a bunch of features but for mapping sound. Any one who will need something like this alot will have desk top software that goes with their DAW, considering that fact it's significantly over priced. They're are video editing apps with a ton of more features fur the same price, the everything version sloths first add much as the Year basic

Useless on MBP 2013

SPL meter is useless. Totally inaccurate. No way to calibrate it that actually works. And even adjusting input volume in macOS settings doesn’t result in a significant change in amplitude. Only giving a second start because that’s the only feature I tested.
