This app supposedly requires the “always” option for tracking location, including in the background. Never mind the fact that this will be a huge battery drain, it’s a huge privacy concern.
If you read their privacy policy, they claim they don’t share personally identifiable info, but clearly state that they share non-personally identifiable information. Anyone who works in data analytics knows how easy it is to re-identify supposedly non-identifiable information.
Seek *must* add an option to opt out of *any* data sharing. In fact, they *should* make any sharing of data sharing opt-in.
In the era of Facebook repeatedly and horrifically abusing our personal information, companies like Seek need to build business models that do not depend on making their customers the product.
