Missing a bit

I used the app and liked it except for the following: not everything is in there (scheduled arc giveaways, affiliate gatherings, etc.) and it was not synchronized with the website. I had starred events on the website ahead of time and then had to do it again when the app was available. The app also kicked me out a few times. I liked that it syncs with my calendar and I was able to find people and message them.

Inadequate

Where do I begin? Whether it was the inability to download individual programs and sessions to a calendar or the inability to adjust automatically to different times zones or the inability to move easily from one mobile device to another with my ALA login, I found this app to be nothing but frustrating.

Good, needs tweaking

Lots of information packed into it. Needs a bit of filtering the speakers and meetings. Good, just needs some ux ui adjustments.

Time-saver app

This app is the one thing you should have for conference, other than comfortable shoes and a masseuse. The ability to pull up slides or take notes is very helpful. And it is great to be able to look easily at your schedule. It’s a winning app!

Needs improvement

I love having this on my phone. This time I didn’t even bother going through the massive book. However, it’s still very glitchy. Every time I tried to look at another day, it would flip back or shut down. I would also like some more features—if we could have categories like Exhibit Hall Stages, Signings, Sessions, and Meetings, we could then sort by those items to make things more manageable. The option to sort by location, like convention center, pop top stage, x hotel, etc would be nice. It would also be nice to be able to distinguish between what I want on my schedule and what sessions have presentations that I would like to look at later. I often review presentations I couldn’t attend, so it would be nice to keep those straight. Great idea, doing well, and I have no doubt it will improve with time.

Sigh

Too many sessions were mislabeled. This doesn’t make it easy to download slides. And if the WiFi isn’t working? Good luck.

Still buggy

Thank you for the app, it did make finding sessions easier when it worked. I had everything loaded before the conference, so when I got there everything was deleted from the app after the app crashed several times on Saturday. Not sure why once I was at the conference I had to use the badge number on the mobile device while logging into the website with my ALA member number, so the conference sessions I had signed up for had been deleted from the app. Which didn’t help me on Sunday because it kept crashing.
Please fix.

Scheduler needs work

It would be good to add 2 features: a universal search by time ( so if you have a free block, you could see everything available in one view - posters, exhibits, & sessions). The other thing is that all of your favorites of every kind of event should show in “ my schedule”. It was difficult to keep track of the different things and I missed some things as a result.

Great functionality

It felt like the developers knew what I’d need out of an app better than I did. I love the messages and networking capabilities. The only thing that bothered me was that I couldn’t swipe to go back; instead, I had to push the back button. Not too bad, but slightly annoying. Overall, great app.

So easy to use!

I really loved having this app! It made finding sessions easy and it reminded you when to go. The only thing I didn’t like is that it sucked my battery dry. But I would have been lost without it- literally.
