Not as advertised

Bought a 30 day 100gb tourist SIM card in Singapore with roaming available in Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, etc. The SIM card was great in Singapore but is not working properly in Bali. I have roaming on but it will not connect to network to allow me to use data. Actually it briefly connects to 4g network once in awhile so I know everything is set up properly but just won’t stay connected to a network. It shows I have full bars but doesn’t work, but periodically the 4g icon pops up indicating it is connected and I receive all my alerts and messages, and then it cuts off again a minute later. Absolutely awful and a waste.

Hi Nicktheserb, sorry to hear this. To use data roam with $30 Tourist SIM, activate data roaming by dialing #100*8*1# on your phone and ensure you are connected to preferred network. Should issue persists, you may try to restart your phone and manually search and select the preferred network and insert SIM card into another phone to ascertain if issue is phone- or SIM card-specific. Useless

What’s the point of buying a prepaid M1 card at 7-11 if you have to take it to an M1 retail store to activate it?! M1 wasted 4 hours of my time.

For Prepaid SIM $14, $15, $25, Tourist SIM $12 and $30 bought from 7-Eleven and Cheers, please proceed to perform Self Registration through our website : https://prepaidselfreg.m1.com.sg/ For countries not listed on Prepaid Registration site, customers will need to walk in to our M1 Shop (Bugis, IMM and Peranakan Place) during the following operating hours to register: Mon - Fri: 2pm - 9pm / Sat & Sun: 12pm - 9pm for registration assistance. Do yourself a favor

Visiting from Texas, tried to register the sim buy their site is offline, if you are visiting Singapore do yourself a favor and just pay for roaming instead of wasting your time with this so called prepaid SIM card.

Broken

There is no way to put in OTP using my iPhone 11 (latest OS).

Worst prepaid ever

The package they sell is a scam. You have to buy additional package before you get the promotional free data. Even after buying a package it doesn’t show in the app the actual purchase data. For example. I paid SG$21 for 15GB. It doesn’t show in the App. I travel the world and use prepaid all the time. M1 by far is the worst I have ever seen. It took me more than a two dozen attempts to scan the passport and my face. Extremely frustrating and a worst system ever!!!

Rips you off

The app does not allow you to use any existing prepaid credit to pay for data packs or roaming packs. It forces you to pay separately for these even if you have credit available. Shame on you M1.

Did not work as advertised

Bought it because I will be in Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. I am now in the second leg of my trip and I cannot get data in Malaysia despite following all the instructions. Don’t want to waste my minutes calling the call center and their is no online chat available. Very disappointed.

Needs 2 basic changes

1. Please get rid of the silly OTP login and allow username/password login (with TouchID or FaceID)

2. Please provide usage information. You have the ability to charge me, but it is completely opaque!
