  • Amazing game

I love Dazzly, I used to have it when I was younger and remembered it a few days ago. I downloaded it again and have been enjoying it. So many reviews saying ads are bad, which they are but not enough to make an almost 5 star game to 1.

⚠️If you are trying to avoid ads, it’s impossible to avoid all. But here’s where they land, picking your Dazzly, magical gem, and after creating your Dazzly. I usually skip magical gem bc of this. ⚠️

Basically you create pictures or Dazzlys with gems. The gems are amazingly detailed and there are SO many of them it’s insane. You collect more gems by finishing pictures. You get a daily gem if you choose to watch an ad. There are a decent variety of pictures you can dazzle for free. I don’t like paying for a game because I most likely will delete it and I’m fine with my free options. I like how it doesn’t push premium in your face like some games. If you want more pictures for free they sometimes have a collection which contains some free pictures, and if you click a gem you have collected you can fill in with it in a new picture for free. You also have a choice of coloring each picture that’s in the library three times with a different color scheme. Which I think is really nice. It shows a playback of you drawing the Dazzly after each one. Overall this game is wonderful and underrated.

  • Glitches

I love this game but I don’t know what you did in the last upgrade but I have to shutdown and restart after every puzzle. Can you fix this issue otherwise I will be deleting this app. Thanks
  • Horrible

I can do one picture - then it freezes. I have to wait an entire day to do another picture
  • Relaxing and beautiful

Since the last update, once you finish a Dazzly, the screen freezes and you can’t complete another one unless you exit the app and open it up again. They also took away the calming music.

Unfortunately the app glitches quite a bit. It won’t move on to the next gemstone, even though it shows you it’s all filled in. Tap on the gem and it zooms in to an area that’s completely filled in. The designs are incredible. The shading with the gemstones is also incredible. The amount of free designs to color in is amazing. The talent it takes to create not just the designs but the gemstone cuts and colors is astounding. That’s why I don’t mind a few ads. There’s an ad to collect your gems, an ad after you’ve chosen a design and an ad once you’ve completed the design. There’s a paid version that gives you access to all of the designs and is ad free. I understand the incredible talent and work that goes into this, but 10 dollars A DAY is crazy. I’m sticking with the free version and don’t mind the ads. It’s very relaxing and it’s satisfying. Paint by numbers, only with gorgeous gemstones. I wish they would let you admire what you’ve just completed instead of immediately going to an animation. I’d also like to hear different music for each design instead of the same tune. Otherwise, it’s a perfect way to relax and alleviate anxiety.

  • Too many ads to watch for just one picture

I used to love this game and even paid to have it “Ad free”.
After the new updated, my purchase is gone even I created an account as the game suggested, I still cannot restore my “Ad free” that I paid for. They only have options either purchase one day or one year bundle for over $129, they don’t have the “ad free” option for you to purchase any more. I don’t have time to play this game everyday, maybe 5 or 7 pictures per week, so it’s not worth it to pay for a bundle.
Now, each picture come with a very long ad and not just that, it comes 2 or 3 ads at once and you have to click out each ad when it’s done for you to move on to the next ad and repeat the same thing agin and again until all ads are finished.
This game used to make me relax but now those ads made me frustrated and give up on this game.

  • Need to improve color combinations

First off, I do love this game and I have paid for a subscription because the ads - quantity and length - are ridiculous for coloring just 1 picture. I have to say that the amount for an annual subscription is unreasonable for most people as well, I’m surprised the game still has people playing. That’s why I’ve dinged the game first star.
I am dinging the game a second star is because, for the amount of money I pay for a subscription, the latest in daily pictures that we get to color, the color gem variety in the pictures have gotten to be virtually the SAME EVERY SINGLE DAY. Everyday the dazzly pictures that are to be mainly red or blue or green - they all will have yellow diamonds, titanite and chrysoberyl - all brownish green gems in their pictures. Dazzly has 651 gems, yet can’t figure out a way to change up the color schemes? It was much better in the beginning, plus now they are recycling older pictures to recolor. And please, any suggestions about creating my own dazzly - that’s not a solution because the game makes it as difficult as possible to color with gemstones. I’m constantly having to pickup colored gems from places i didn’t want them placed. It’s too tedious.
Hopefully someone at Dazzly will read this and pay attention. This is fair warning to them and a caution to those who are looking to get this game.

  • Good game, but…

I genuinely like this game. I have two major complaints that contribute to the lower rating. The first being it always over heats my devices. I’ve had it on many versions of the iPhone and within 10 minutes my device is too hot to handle. The best luck I’ve had is with my iPad Pro, but it still gets unbearably hot in under 20 so it’s not a great long term game. The second being there are way too many ads. I understand that the developers need to make money, but the frequency of ads makes it frustrating to play. There is always an in-skippable ad before and after ever picture and if you take too long there will be one during as well. I looked into and wanted to do the payed version as there are significantly more pictures available, but I can’t justify and I don’t think many others can either spending either $10 a WEEK or $100 a year for a cute coloring game. It’s honestly insane that those are the only too options available. I can say honestly even if it was like $5 a month I’d be willing to pay as I do genuinely like this game. It just gets very very frustrating dealing with either ads or my device overheating for very little enjoyable gameplay.

  • Dumb

Explain why I cannot play the incomplete pictures that I have started, or why “watching” the ads does not allow you to play anything? You cannot view the ads, or access the pictures. You get a negative review

    Developer Response

Hello, and thank you for your review. We take the user experience of our apps very seriously and have taken immediate steps to address the concerns regarding ad behavior within Dazzly. 1: We have introduced a cap on the frequency of ads displayed, and are working towards further refining the frequency of ads shown in order to improve the user experience. 2: We have established block lists with our ad partners that prevent excessively long and potentially inappropriate ads from being shown. 3. Having to watch multiple ads to unlock a Dazzly picture is definitely NOT intended. We are working hard on fixing this issue: please send us videos of the bug in action at contact@dazzly.com, as this will help us immensely to resolve the problem. Thanks a lot for your continued support! The Dazzly Team
