Great app

I’m a (rusty) beginner to knitting and i downloaded a few apps to get back in the hang of different stitches. This app provides videos as well as stitch counters and several free patterns. I’m using the free version of the app and it’s been awesome so far, it gives step by step instructions for patterns and lists all the materials you’ll need.

I love having ,y patterns on the go!

I’ve used this for a couple projects and the only thing I’d change is having the counters start at 0 instead of 1. Maybe just a personal preference but I like setting up all my counters ahead of time, so it bugs me to have one say 1 when I’m not at that part yet.

Super

Je suis débutante en tricot, j’aime beaucoup les tutos. Je recommande cette application, juste super!

J’adore

Manque seulement un index au début, pour qu’ont voit toute les étapes. Aiderait à savoir où ont est rendu

Great as a row counter

This app is great. I am doing a multi row pattern repeat and it is really useful.

Helpful video tutorials.

Before I even begin a project with this app, I can already say I’m liking the tutorial videos all being in one easy-to-get-to place. However, there hasn’t been any sound in any of the videos I’ve tried. Not sure at the moment if my sound is malfunctioning, or if audio simply isn’t available.
I do wish the various buttons/icons were labeled for those who rely on voiceover. (For those who aren’t aware, voiceover is a built in screen reader used by the blind and visually impaired. I use voiceover occasionally when my eye condition causes a bad eye day and makes me do all tasks in a non-visual manner.) If this were the case, I would likely use this app regularly. For now, I can always hope for improvement on the accessibility features. Meanwhile, I’ll explore my way around during my good eye days.
I did explore the cardigan pattern. From what I understand of this app, directions are supposed to be available on a line by line basis. I can find the individual lines...but cannot figure what the actual directions are. I just find text that says “repeat the schema” for a certain number of times. How do I know what “the schema” is? Perhaps a simple “knit all stitches” or K1P1 across row” would be helpful.

Hi! Thank you for your feedback. All videos have background music, that you should be able to ear. It works on our device, we will see if we can reproduce your issue. Your suggestion regarding voiceover is great. The app allows you already to ear the instructions for the line by line pattern. We will work on implementing it for the videos as well. The schema is what you see below the instructions. you should see little icons that represent a knitting action. By clicking on it, you have a short description of this action (knit, purl, decrease....) as well as an access to a video tutorial. If you have any other issue or suggestion, please write us at tricotonapp@gmail.com. We will do our best to help. Have a nice day!

Fab lil app

So cool, keeps my row counts accurate and best still, imports my knitting pattern so I’m able to knit in confidence, yay:):)

Love this

Love this app big help big projects

Marks project finished when it’s not!

I keep having to back into the project because it has marked it as finished. I’m deleting this app and trying something else, because it’s causing more difficulty than it’s worth!

😔

I really wanted to like this app, it has great potential however none of the videos will play which also makes it a notepad for patterns and a stitch counter

Thank you Jessii for your review. It should be working now, we had a small problem with our server.
