Handy project app with minor issues

Really love this app I find it really helpful to keep my projects lined up and the timer lets me know how long I’ve knit for and I think how many times I’ve picked up my project although I’m still trying to figure it out. I like how it comes with preloaded patterns. Although I’m having trouble loading a pattern from online sources other than Ravelry I’d like to see this adjusted.
Also the progression bar doesn’t go up. I am unsure if this is my fault as the user or the app just doesn’t do this. So overall some minor adjustments to be made and I’m still working with it but I think it’s great.

Confusing

This app has knitting patterns, but I can’t figure out how to look at an entire pattern before deciding whether to take it on. It just shows step-by-step directions, and skipping to the next instruction is very difficult. It also apparently has no way to modify a pattern within the app. For instance, a pullover pattern says to use size 6 needles. I don’t want to spend the next three years of my life knitting it, so I’d rather use size 8. Guess what? There’s no way to select your preferred needle size. Very disappointing!

Hi Albano, At the moment it is indeed not possible to see the entire pattern, as we focused on giving people step by step instructions that are easier to follow than the usual knitting patterns. But we are thinking about adding that feature in the future. You have the choice between different needle size for our easiest patterns, but we didn't implement that yet for the most complex ones. As you probably now, adapting a pattern to a different needle size is not easily doable automatically (we could do so, but the risk of ending up with something totally wrong would be very high and we don't want to take that risk). We will do our best to provide soon similar patterns for different needle sizes.

Annoying little bug

Please fix the app so that when you have a comment on a row and a PDF loaded you can count past that row! Right now the screen freezes except for the option to remove the pattern. If the PDF is not loaded you can go to next row and close the comment, but not if there is a PDF open. Other than that I like this app a lot!

Teaches so much

It gave me everything I needed to get going and there are so many combinations of garments and pattern styles now I've gotten started. It leads you through stitch by stitch which is way easier to follow than the dense instruction lists I've found online.

Took a while to figure out how to add patterns

Overall a great app. It took me ages to figure out how to insert pattern, as you need to start a project then add. But great that it can have PDF. Would be better if you could tap screen anywhere to add to counter. So far so good

I can’t believe all these features are free!

Really nice counter, having all the converters in one app is amazing! It’s easy to keep track of really complex patterns and it’s beautiful to look at too. The fifth star is for when I can keep track of the same counters across different devices.

Better than other counters

I love that this app also imports the pattern itself, so you have the pattern open, with your row counter at the top. It stays open until you close it, so if you’re spending a few hours knitting, might want to plug the phone in. And with this latest update apparently we can upload progress pics, will check that out now.

Request to expand this app to Android (I’d love to use it on my Kindle)
