Favourite Cooking Game!

As someone who likes food and art, this game has been a delight to play. I’ve been playing for over a week now and I can see myself playing this for months to come.

Not only is it fun to play but the art style and animation is wonderful to look at. I believe this is of one of my favourite games of all time and my favourite cooking game ever!

I love to see all the delicious food and I love how there’s a story as well to keep you interested. The art and design of this game is top notch and simply amazing. I also like how each new place has different music which creates a distinct ambience.

The gameplay has been great too and each level has a unique challenge. Although it can feel repetitive, the different levels and new stories and upgrades keep you engaged. Also, you don’t have to watch any ads! You can watch them to get rewards but I have been playing without watching any ads at all!

I think my only nitpick is seeing the same customers in every level I’ve played. Please add different customer designs in future episodes and this game would be perfect in my opinion.

Overall this is one of the best games I’ve ever played. It is fun, interesting and visually georgous! 9.5/10

Loyal Fan No More

This was my absolute favorite game. I played it every day for years. Some seasons were harder than others, but as other reviewers have stated it has become impossible to finish many levels without buying something. I wouldn’t mind that if it were for like 5-10 levels in a season with diamonds or coins from the game, but it’s so often there is no way to replenish your diamonds to buy the necessary ‘help’ just to complete most of the levels. I took a break from the game to see if it would improve, but clearly the devs care more about the $ which saddens me. I will finish out the current season and then delete the app. For me, the best games are the ones that give you the option to pay something if you choose to maybe speed things up or make it easier, but if the gamer is willing to work and put in the time and strategy, paying should not be REQUIRED for any game. I truly hope the creators consider this because I will no longer engage with anything in the ‘Delicious’ world.

Response to Developers: No need to copy and paste your response from other similar comments. I have read them. My personal belief is that you should not need to ‘reach out to the app’s support team for tips’ in order to beat levels. This would mean you’ve made it too hard for all of your players for it to be enjoyable. I like a challenge but not an impossibility 🙃

Level 46, Episode 4, Season 7

Please tell me Game House, why this level was so messed up not only in the way the items were created (two different cereal bars via the same click/item) but please explain how one gets past level 46 (third round) when even the booster that doubles the take is used doesn’t get the win?

Really folks does it have to be that taxing to get on in this otherwise super fun game?

I love this game, but since when do we have to watch an ad after every level? The ad starts loading when I’m half way through the level and it makes the game glitchy, causing it to be unenjoyable and sometimes even failing the level. And than if I want to double my money I have to watch an other. And if a I watch more than 3 ads in a row the whole game just freezes off completely. Very disappointing! Just making the game very unenjoyable as you spend more time watching ads than playing! Might have to find a different game!

Disappointed/But will finish until I used my diamonds

When I first started playing this game, I was so happy that I had found a game that’s not a money grab. You can purchase on your own & have fun with the concept. I was wrong! The first word was great and I believe it challenged you just enough to have to buy some diamonds as well as build your coins up. The fact that you have to start all over building your coins to me should not happen with any game, especially one where you can’t buy coins & only diamonds are available for purchase. Not only that, the second world forces you to use your diamonds up, so that you have to purchase more. I wish these creators would understand that some of us would spend money for a product we love without being forced to do so. The fact of you losing all your money & being forced to meets goals that are not reachable in the 2nd world with running through your helpers or diamonds really isn’t fun. It takes away the enjoyment of the game. I do love this creation, I think the game is great to relax and play, but the force fed isn’t my favorite thing. I do hope the creators learn to not put in force play. It truly ruins the experience of the game. But great job with the storytelling.

It was great, until it wasn’t…

I love gamehouse and have been a fan for a long time. This game has a great story and the mechanics of the game are great too. However, when you progress further into the higher levels and different seasons it become impossible to win without paying (either with gems or actual in-app purchases. That’s ridiculous for a game that is advertised as free. As you get into the higher levels and seasons, the coins needed for crucial upgrades is exorbitant and totally disproportionate. Even if you want to increase the amount of coins you have by playing bonus levels, they only give you ~200 coins and not the coins that you’ve earned from the level itself. Sometimes, even with a perfect game, you can’t win because either there aren’t enough customers to complete the objectives or because the upgrades that are crucial for that level is almost impossible to get without grinding forever for it. This is advertised as a free to play game, however, the more you progress, the more it seems like the game is pushing you to either spend your in-game gems or to make actual in-app purchases so you aren’t stuck on the same level for weeks at a time which is frankly pretty weird. This game would be perfect if this coin system was fixed.

Amazing game but has technical issues!!

The storyline got me hooked!! It always leaves on cliffhangers so I'm motivated to keep playing despite the repetitiveness. Once you max out the restaurant you gotta keep doing the same levels over and over again, and can be a bit boring sometimes. But the story is still cool.
I worked hard to get to the end of the Italy one and then my app stopped working saying "There is an unstable connection with our servers." I keep trying to get in but it wont let me, and when it does it kicks me out as soon I go on a level, wasting my hearts. I'm a bit disappointed because I was so close to the end of that level...

Too hard now - literally impossible

So I made it to season 10, episode 4 and in the level 20+. I was conservative in how I played previous episodes — saved my coins and diamonds, bought extras during sales. I have enough saved that I had ALL of the upgrades by 20+ levels. As much as I try, I can’t win levels without help. I can play a perfect game but because there isn’t an extra customer or Emily walks slow I will NEVER be successful. It’s so disappointing and now the game has been stressful instead of fun. It’s becoming a money grab when I was willing to spend money on the really difficult levels. But now I realize they are ALL difficult with the intention of getting money from me at every level. The daily rewards went from 1000+ coins to ONE diamond. You can’t purchase anything for less than 38 diamonds (hearts). So to purchase just the three hearts I will have to play the daily challenges for about two weeks . Why were these changes made? I would’ve given this a 1 star for these reasons alone but because I have liked the game for so long (5 stars until season 10) I rated it 2 stars. Really disappointed.

So addictive

I love this game, it’s so addicting, the only thing I would say is it would be cool to have some more interesting upgrades, like maybe a new outfit for Emily or something, just something to change the game up a bit more, other then that awesome game and the stories cute. I love basically all of you’re guys games, keep up the good work!

Game changes

They’ve sucked the fun out of the game. Bonus games give you a pittance, nothing for playing well.
If you want to continue play you have 60 SECOND ads with no reward. Time to delete!
