  • WAS Five Stars

Infinite golf was a great, truly fun game until the latest update, which crippled the game with ads by decreasing the chances you get on a hole from 3 to 2. This seemingly minor change drastically increases the difficulty of the game while creating far more situations where you will be watching an ad for another ball, watching an ad for another chance, or watching an ad because it’s game over. This update, while certainly making the game more challenging, did so at the expense of the quality and entertainment value of the game in a clear attempt to generate more advertisement revenue on the backs of its established and growing player base. It went from a fun, low-stress game with a fair amount of challenge (certain areas of the course are pretty tricky) to ad-bait (now easily more than 30% of time in-game is taken up by advertising). This was one of the only mobile app games I’ve truly enjoyed lately, but I’ll unfortunately be removing it from my phone to clear up space now.

  • Newest Update Ruined game

I did like this game when it came out, you could string shots together to increase the combo and beat your score. Then they added ball skins, not bad, not bad. Now they’ve added a system where you sometimes have to hit a target before the hole unlocks, I see how this adds an extra difficulty level/feature, which is good but, it defeats the purpose when previously if you missed the first shot it was your own fault. Now your combos are ruined automatically by the hole lock feature?!?!?

  • Really bro is spot on!

Minor fixes? “Really bro?” nailed it with his review: This was a great game that has been ruined by the addition of these “features” that only massively away from the relaxing fun this game used to provide. And, the third ball? I have to watch an ad to get the third ball, AND I PAID TO HAVE ADS REMOVED!! It seems that in their greedy quest to make more money, the developers have forgotten why people play one-touch games in the first place— simplicity! Now, I have to avoid birds and unlock holes in two shots? Seriously, bro??

While I’m at it, a warning to anyone thinking about buying the game (but, why would you want to?) The money I gladly paid to rid the game of ads worked only for a single device, and I’m not given the option to pay the money again on my phone, even if I wanted to.

This was a rare, 5-start game that got everything right in the earlier version— graphics, sound, gameplay were all terrific. If you want my advice, put it back to the earlier version and then knock yourself out with Infinity “Golf 2.” As it is now, it’s off my list, what a shame!

  • I have loved this game for about a week or so

But the newest update, 1.11 changed the ball count from 3 to 2 and that completely changes the dynamic of the game. As it is VooDoo over plays ads, but the requirement to watch additional ads to get an extra ball completely breaks the game. You want to play a game not watch ads. Ads aren’t even always skippable. At 30 seconds for some ads, the user will be watching them for longer than a single run through on occasion. I don’t know. I love the simplicity and the ease of playing it, but the latest update broke the game.

  • New update = even more ads

Before we had three tries on each level, and if we wanted an extra we had the option to watch an ad for a fourth before running out of balls (though it was rarely necessary because the hardest levels can be completed in three shots). Now with this newest update, they have lowered the amount of tries to two, which makes it significantly harder, and you have to watch an ad just to get a third. With almost every level completion you must watch one, and for a second chance once in the game you must watch one. It’s gotten ridiculously out of hand and it’s obvious that this game has just become a ploy for money. Very disappointed because I used to enjoy it a lot. Now I spend more time watching ads than actually playing.

  • New update is crap

I purchased this game to rid my time of the ads. I loved the game and how simple yet challenging it was. I’ve been playing it for a month now. However, the update completed today has added elements into the game that seem fun but in reality they eat up your available balls and force you to watch an ad if you want an extra ball or second chance. They is literally no way of avoiding these “extras” in the game. Before I could play almost endlessly up into 300+ point range but can’t make it to 30 points with running into a locked hole or bird that gives you an extra point but takes away your ball. So frustrating. If it’s not improved I will delete a game I BOUGHT. 😡

  • Wait..

In a recent update it now has only two chances to make the shot and if you want to back it up to three you have to watch a 45 second ad??
Maybe instead of the bombardment of ads during game time maybe the amount of chances takes away points? Or a mini game of some sort to earn the extra chance
  • Ads??

After paying $4.49 for no ads why am I still seeing ads! What kind of thing are you running. And yes my in-app purchase has been verified.

If you are going to sell something that says no ads at least do what you say! Cause there is now no way to get my $4.49 back!
  • Intrusive ads

Video ads play literally in the middle of gameplay
  • Need for speed???

This game is awesome ads aren’t too bad anyway I’m giving this 3/5 stars because at one point your going slow then everything speeds up the ball goes further and faster and it goes slow again and repeat please fix this😢😭👌🏻❤️😅😄
