  • Longtime X10 user; widgets?

I really appreciate and like this X10 app.

Is there any dev attention planned for a widget companion? There are a couple of often used devices I'd like to streamline with either basic functionality and/or scenes.

(I'd give this review 5-stars if the widget were already there)
  • Doesn’t Work

The app worked for about a week and for some reason after that it would not connect. So I tried reconnecting it again and in the process it wiped out all the devices I had set up and when I scan the QR Code I get the error “The APP failed to register user. Please try again”.
Plus the app doesn’t have macros like the PC version.

  • WI-FI Hub Worthless

I have used X10 for 30 years. Last really good interface was CM11. Everything since troublesome. X10 is always years behind other systems. Have had CM15 & CM19.; both work but have limited capabilities. WM100 looked like a dream come true. It works fine on iPad 4 with iOS 10.Xcode. Worked OK on iPhone 5S. Switched to iPhone SE 2020 in June 2021. It worked pretty well. Phone updated to iOS 15 and WM hasn’t worked since. It occasionally worked, then quit completely. Tried to reinstall as new WM100, but it won’t even read the QR code. Yes, it’s on 2.4 band.

5 GHz has been around since 1999; the WM100 since about 2017. It was stupid to not make it dual band. So many X10 light switches still were designed for incandescent lamps and won’t work with CFLs or LEDs which consume much less power than the 45 watts minimum that X10 switches require. I have found a few bulbs that will work, but most will not. I have a bunch of useless duplex outlets as a result. Supposedly the latest AM466 3-pin appliance will work with anything and does not have the 45 watt minimum. Either this claim is false or they sold me the old models. I can’t tell because they didn’t have the sense to give it a new model number.

I have long been disappointed, but now I am very ANGRY. I am looking at other systems, but haven’t made a decision, yet. I am sure there is widespread anger out there now.
