The app allows the hikes on NWHiker.com to be searched by various criteria, and has a presentation customized for an iOS device. The hikes can be filtered by region, difficulty, elevation gain, and distance, and can be further searched by hike name, and by keyword for hike features such as old growth, snowshoe, swim, loop, flowers, falls, wildlife, geology, view, historic, lookout, ridge, and more. Each hike is outlined with a photo, map, and description. Statistics, directions, drive times to the trailhead, and permit requirements are also included.
