  • Great and simple

Really simple and easy to use, looks great. Only two small things that could be added but otherwise works great

    1. Theres no way to rearrange the order of the different palettes. The most recent created/edited will be moved to the top

    2. Theres no way to control the width of each colour in the palettes, so you cant really visualise the volume of each colour

Your first item is available in newer versions of the app. Consider adding that extra star to your review if it works to your liking. ⭐️ The second item is a bit more complex, but I will consider different ways to introduce that as a feature. Thanks for the feedback!
  • Great idea but doesn’t work

This app is a really great idea. But all I can do is create new palettes with the plus button. When I go in to edit, it does not save any of the changes I make at all.
  • Fun and useful

I have always wanted to create palettes from landscapes and animals’ colorations. The ability to capture colors from my photos is just what I’ve been looking for! One thing is I can’t figure out how to delete unwanted palettes. I also wish the titles were visible without having to click on the individual palettes. Otherwise, I’m having fun with the app.

  • Excellent for Web Designers

Great app - You can sample colors from your photos to create color schemes, which as a designer was reason enough for me to install. Provides the hex, rgb, and hsb values for each color. The interface is straightforward and took no time to figure out. All for the amazing price of free!

Protip: While editing a palette, you can hold your finger and drag colors to reorder them. Saved me some time!

  • Unauthorized Camera Access - INTRUSIVE

This app will access your camera without your permission, and there is nowhere in iOS settings to revoke this.
If you click on Browse, it accesses your photos. At another instance it asked for permission, and when I denied, it still accessed my photos.
  • Gets frustrating after enough palettes

Overall, pocket palette’s been pretty great—picking colours is easy with all the options you have to do so, the range in palette sizes is awesome, and I love how it can calculate the perfect colours for your palette if you’re struggling to find one. But I need to make a lot of palettes, and after enough, organising palettes is impossible if you didn’t make them deliberately in the right order. I try to move a palette up or down by one tick, and the whole app has a brain aneurism and throws the palette all the way to the bottom or top of my list. Some easier way to scroll through the palettes with one in hand—maybe even folders—would be super helpful here

In the latest update, the UI has been completely reworked and palette organization has been improved a lot. Consider adding that extra star to your review if it works to your liking. ⭐️ Thanks for the feedback!
  • Closest thing to Adobe Color Wheel on iPad

This is a great way to save color palettes and it also includes some great sample palettes. Incredible free app!
  • The best app for colour schemes.

This an amazing app for creating interesting and well-balanced as well as fully customizable colour schemes. Another feature that I really love is the ability to add pre-made schemes to your collection as well as to adjust them to your needs. Having a dark mode and a light mode is also a nice feature. The layout is very simplistic and easy to use. All of the features and capabilities of Pocket Palette are beyond anything I would normally expect from a free app. I will use this all the time to explore colour theory, design my own palettes, and create beautiful art. The only thing I would add is that I have wanted to submit a sample palette for a long time, and it would be nice to have some kind of forum for users to submit their original palettes to be potentially implemented as samples within the base app. As well, it would be nice to have more than 9 colour slots to work with, as it would be interesting to design a palette that I could use on a much larger scale. Otherwise, everything is absolutely amazing, every feature of the app is perfect for artists and designers, and I will have Pocket Palette on all of my devices for as long as I am making art. Thank you so much to the entire team at Penpyre.

  • 99.99% Perfect

The best color palette app by far. So glad to find it, definitely love using it (even addictive lol). BUT, PLEASE PLS PLS add two more features:

    1. Save/ Export pallets
    2.Group pallets/ Add to collections
  • Simple, Intuitive, Fast

As a designer, this is just what I need after I see a flash of inspiration walk or drive past. Great, no-frills, fast color scheme making app!
