Not much use at all

I had persevered with this doorbell for months now including running a power supply to the push so I wouldn’t need to keep removing it to recharge. I haven't been able to get the unit to ring my mobile. I’ve reset everything several times on the off chance I’m missing something? Don’t think I am . Sorry but it’s useless if it only rings upside. The camera works so I can only think it’s a software issue. No updates for 2 year ? I’ve had this 6 months it’s never responded on my iPhone ten ?

No notifications

Does not ring on my iPhone 7. Have tried everything to fix it!!!!

Update

Imagine this… just imagine Smartwares actually cared about there products and did an update to fix the notification issue. I guess its to much to ask for, its been 8months and they still don’t want to fix the issue. Joke company

No notifications - solution

I chose the Byron smart doorbell because I wanted to hardwire the network to ensure good connectivity.
All was great until notifications stopped working recently. I saw all the comments around notifications not working through this app on the App Store and figured that the doorbell would have to go in the bin.
However, I spoke with Smartwares customer support who got me to add a second (partnering) app to deal with the iOS push notifications. The app is OMGUARD HD. Was really easy to setup (apparently because the doorbell was already setup in the SMARTWARES app).
All is working well again - notifications coming through as expected.
Hopefully this is useful to anyone else out there trying to fix this issue!

Useless without notifications

Notifications stopped working over 6 months ago.
Been waiting for developer update but I see they do not reply to other with the same issue.
No use without them as no security alerts.
Will need to replace.
Do not purchase a camera that relies on this app

Video door bell

When are you going to fix your app i didn’t pay that kind of money to have a product i can’t use just a rip off

No Notifications, No Connection

The camera no longer sends notifications to any of our devices and constantly fails to connect, didn’t have any issues for the first 2 years of owning it. We are now having to turn off and on almost on a daily basis to get it to connect, really disappointed as we recommended to a number of friends and family who are also experiencing the same issues.

Fix it!

This app has never been geart but its done a job up till now. For over a month notifications have not been coming through to our phones. Smartwares are aware of the problem but unless you contact them you wouldn’t know. Perhaps time to update the app and sort these issues out I bet RING doesn’t have this problem…

Rubbish

I bought the Byron video doorbell whilst it was on special offer in Feb. The app stopped working in June so I contacted the manufacturer. Initially no response which was really frustrating. Eventually they told me that push notifications had stopped. This means when the bell rings you can’t hear it! This went on for some time so I had to remove the bell from my door. I got fed up so got my money back from the shop. A good product ruined by zero technical support and customer care. I’ve now bought a E*** one. It’s brilliant! I’ll never buy a Byron product again because they don’t give a fig about their customers.
