I thought it was dumb, and now I can’t get rid of it
It’s just noise. Themed noise. It’s the dumbest idea, and the pro version absolutely costs too much. I used to listen to my favorite songs and loved that, so the idea of themed noise that I didn’t really notice sounded so stupid to me. It still does. But you know what? It’s not overstimulating. It gives my brain a soundtrack to follow instead of making up it’s own soundtrack that will eventually distract it. When I find myself getting overwhelmed and my thoughts and sounds are blaring in my head, I just start up the app, and things calm down. I don’t really notice it, but I’ve realized that’s the point. It’s like a good soundtrack to a movie - you don’t really notice it but you REALLY notice when it’s not there.
It works better for relaxation and calm focus than it does energy. I’ll listen to my favorite music if I want to get up and go.Show lessThat girl at the market

I am sorry to have to write this review. I used to LOVE this app for mediation. It was perfect unguided harmony and perfection. Couldn’t get enough of it. All the soundscapes are perfect for work, focus, commute all of it. A recent update to the mediation sounds has driven me away and forced me to write this review and rate one sad star. The new sound scape has a rustling sound like crunching paper and or some sort of speak static. It’s so distracting and annoying. I can’t use it to mediate and if you know me, you would know how deeply I reply on this particular soundscape. I’ve emailed support and ask for help and for updates and all I’m told is they are working on it. It’s been weeks. I wish you never would have changed it, it provided so much bliss to me and essentially you’ve taken away a part of my wellbeing and peace of mind. I honestly ought to sue for emotional and mental anguish. I’m not kidding that’s how desperate I am to have this fixed. I hope this review finds the developers and I hope they fix this static issue. Right now I’m going to cancel the app, which I honestly hate to do, and go back to using what I had before. At least it remained consistent though isn’t as good as this used to be. I enrolled in the 7-day free trial 3 days ago and set myself a reminder for today to assess whether it was worth paying for. It’s a great app, but my lifestyle is such that I haven’t really used it and can’t justify the cost right now, so I went into my Apple subscriptions to cancel the trial, and lo and behold it said that I had already signed up for 3 months for $60!! During the sign-up process, I had made completely certain that I was indeed signing up for a 7 day free trial, after which I would be charged $60 for 3 months.
So now I just had to go through the hassle of submitting a refund request to Apple and hoping to god that it goes through, because I really can’t afford a $60 hit right now. I hate these apps and companies that make the money side of their products so opaque and rapacious. If you stand behind your product, there is no need to engineer the payment process in a way that could hoodwink, confuse, or otherwise harm potential users! If a customer taps the “Try 7 day free trial” button, then the user flow should be designed in a way that it is impossible to navigate to a “trial-less” paid plan, unless the user closes out of the app completely! Even so, I’m certain that what I signed up for was a free trial, and now I find myself stressing about an app that purports to relieve stress.Show lessiNgledang

I will openly admit I was skeptical of this app but gave it a try. I was having difficulty focusing during tedious work tasks, as well as having difficulty unwinding during the evening and sleeping. This app has helped with all three of these problems or needs. This is the second year I’ve had the premium subscription and I will say that it is an every day app I use. I really like how it uses information such as the weather, circadian rhythm, heart rate and time of day to customize the experience. I especially love the Spatial Audio so that it completely envelops me into a soundscape. I am so glad that I have this app a chance and I have seen many uses for it and the results speak for themselves. I like how they have added new features and programs such as the guided mediations and live shows. I will continue to use this app daily. I’ll be honest, I signed up for the free trial and forgot about it, so I was charged for the yearly subscription. Given that I had already paid for the app, I came to the mind boggling realization that I should at least give it a shot.
So, I began listening to the app while at work not really knowing anything about the science behind the app or really anything about the app except that I had been charged money and that it was supposed to help with concentration.
Well, I’m a few months into using the platform and I must say that I couldn’t be happier with my subconscious purchase. The music/soundscapes truly help get me into focus and help sustain me through long periods of focused writing and reading. There are several cool features that allow you to customize the environment to your tastes and/or needs. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who does a lot of reading, writing, or that works from a home office where your vocation requires long periods of concentration and productivity.Show lessLufig23
The ABSOLUTE BEST!!
I have tried so many different apps that claim to help you sleep, and nearly none of them have worked. I was skeptical, but OH MY GOSH IT WORKS!! I can happily say that this is an absolute game changer. I just put on the timer for 15 minutes and am whisked away into dream land. I was also very delighted when I found out there was a sound designated to helping you focus, assignments are so much easier now. The adjustments that can be made to almost all sounds help me so much, as sometimes I need a faster tempo and other times I need more beach waves. One little complaint is that I am a minor, and when I open the app I immediately see the “Intimate Touch” banner on the top of the screen. If there was some kind if settings where you could mark off things like that, or being able to customize what comes into the banner, that would be great! I've been using Endel for a long time, and have always really enjoyed the mobile version. I originally tried using the desktop version and was disappointed that there were some features that weren't the same as the mobile version, so I stopped using it, but today I decided to re-download the desktop version and I'm really impressed with the recent update! It even has the Tune Sound feature, which is one of my new favorites. Now I can continue using Endel to help me focus, while easily enjoying it on my laptop and listening to things, like tutorials I need, while simultaneously not needing to pause Endel (like I was doing before when it was only on my phone and I was switching back and forth, which wasn't helpful for productivity). So yay! One thing that could use improvement/fixing is the Airplay feature from iPhone to Macbook. It seems to have some sort of bug. But other than that, I'm a happy camper :)Show lessKatums09

I am an avid Endel user for the previous 3 years and I can’t recommend it enough. I am someone who constantly needs to be listening to something, music/ambiance playlists; Endel really fits the bill.
The team constantly adds new features and loops, and it’s a dynamic experience with gorgeous UI. I’ve wanted to leave a review for the past year or so because I honestly believe this app has improved my life. They do a wonderful job at keeping this app simply and beautifully built with improvements.
I use the Sleep soundscape every night, the way the sleep loop begins really pulls into the mindset of rest. I now use it when I travel on the plane and it will put me to sleep. I’ve never been able to sleep on planes prior.
My favorite new addition is the natures elements. Being able to build/combine multiple sounds into an organic atmosphere helps build a setting you want in your home. It’s the only app (in my opinion) that has nature loops that sound genuine.
I listen to the wiggly wisdom often, but the AI lullaby may be my favorite for reading or meditating. There’s so many new sounds to choose, but these four are my personal favorites.
Again, I cannot recommend this app enough for someone who enjoys sound. Thank you Endel for a phenomenal app that keeps on giving.Show lessLeen 9878

I still love Endel for what it is at its core: well-designed soundscapes for different scenarios (sleep, focus, meditation) with timers and a “smart alarm” function I use every day to wake up gently. I’d strongly recommend trying it for a month if you have the disposable income.
Unfortunately the simple concept has become the definition of Mission Creep. The UI is now overloaded and cluttered with features I don’t need or want. I’m accosted by superfluous dialogues about how I use the app (to sleep) or how I can get a discount (already got a lifetime subscription). I accidentally tapped out of sleep mode and had to tap through three screens to get back. And all the extra features make what was a simple app lag now, so I’m waiting for screens to load as I set my alarm.
All of that being said I do love this app and use it daily. I just wish they would cut the bloat and focus on what made it great to begin with. Oh and one other thing - the snooze alarm is locked in at five minutes. For the love of God, please make the snooze alarm adjustable!! I don’t need all the bells and whistles but I do need my snooze to be 9 minutes long.Show lessBigBossSR
