I Don’t Speak Italian !

Update. I got the same developer response as everyone else. They’re just not interested ! I replied to the email telling them the app isn’t showing any units, let alone one I can reset and got no response.
Absolutely ridiculous. No customer support at all and an app that hasn’t been updated for more than 4 years.

The app can’t find my unit to set it up. Until this year it was working fine using Wifi. It started with a Wifi issue. I called the support centre and got an automated message in Italian then the line hung up. So I emailed and got a response telling me to reset the unit. When I opened the app my unit wasn’t there anymore and the “Select a unit to configure” message just sits there with no unit detected. Now I get no response via email. Got a very expensive unit that can’t be used with an app that was last updated 4 years ago ! No customer service at all.

Very bad UX

After installing the app, I wanted to add my AC. App got stuck with message: “Scanning air conditioners…” and told me nothing about the pairing process, what should I do to find my AC, etc. Only information I found on the web is, that wifi is supported and them how to control app, nothing about pairing. After 30 minutes I found out that company is selling extra wifi module for another roughly $110 (I can see prices in czk currency) which I guess I don’t have.

Would be nice if after starting app I could get information when pairing is possible, what do I need for that and how to perform it. I would say not having this feature deserves 0 star nowdays as it’s standard for products for $10 usd, while my AC costed $4000…

Accessory sold separately is painful (paying $110 for product worth $10 in reality), but not as painful as non-finished software using that hardware.

Useless Wi-Fi connection

I experience the same issue as detailed in the other review. I’ve spent countless hours attempting to get this stable. Works for a few days then loses connection requiring a complete reset of the whole unit.
I’ve attempted to contact support who take days between responses without a solution. I’ve resorted to using Tado Ac module which is somewhat limited to heating/cooling options only but it’s very stable and works wonders.

Doesn’t work

Wifi module installed as per instructions, app sees the unit but always shows communication error, both app and wifi module completely useless.

Poor

Even with the optional WiFi module I’m disappointed. It connects via WiFi, but often locks up requiring a power cycle of the air con unit (so the WiFi module can reconnect to its cloud). Occasionally get cloud error (no amount of power cycling will fix that). Why can’t they provide a “local” application I can run inside my LAN rather than relying on someone else cloud?

WiFi link doesn’t work. Bluetooth is ok.

I have loaded the app and it connects to the olimpia splendid only on Bluetooth - so not so splendid at all!
