Amazing app
I’ve been learning Korean for about 1 week and I’ve just started using cake and before I was not able to understand any Hangul at all. I’ve tried learning it before cake and it just never stuck with me but when using cake I learned the entire Hangul alphabet in 2 days!Pearcot

I’ve been using duolingo for a while, and it’s helped me learn a lot of vocabulary and get the hang of Korean sentence structure.
But Cake’s speaking practice and building grammatically correct expressions from syllables has helped me to remember useful, real life expressions that one would need when traveling.Show lessanoninona
Kinda Disappointed
It’s an amazing app.. but when I repeat after them saying exactly what they told me to say it says it’s wrong and I need to try again. Even when I listen back to it and listen to their example and there’s no difference in the way it’s pronounced.ARandomAppReviwer

Cake is had been helping me a lot and as I’m typing this I’ve only practiced for two days!
I’ve already started talking to my friends with Korean! I hope to soon be able to speak fluently!!

Great Learning App
I like the many lessons they have to teach you different phrases and also gives you videos to watch to hear how different words are used in everyday settings. I enjoy it and I have picked up a lot since using.🔔rose1

Easy to use for this beginner
Clean design makes navigating the app very easy. I was nervous- not knowing where to begin, but after purchasing a book made with Cake (BTS Recipe Book) I decided this app could be a great starting point. Speaking as someone who isn’t the best with languages and is still recovering from the embarrassment trauma from high school French and college Spanish, this app is making it fun, without pressure. Oh! And I love seeing k-pop and other pop culture references. Most importantly, I feel I am learning the building blocks to a new language, not just being thrown in with greetings and “where’s the bathroom”. Though you can skip ahead to those if you really need to 😉Show lesseminthebox

I really like this app! It helped me get a job as an interpreter. Short clips and news are really nice to study English as a bite size. You can choose your level. The competition with other people makes me motivated to keep studying. I’ve recommended this apps to many friends/my ESL students.
