App buttons don’t work have the time on iPhone 15 pro max. I have to rotate to landscape mode and back.

Needs update for current iOS
I have used this device for several years. The iOS app on my new iPhone 15 Pro Max is barely useable. The app sometimes needs to be in landscape mode and sometimes needs screen refresh (pull down). Basic function still working.
