Loved it until it shut me out

Loved this app and used it daily so paid for it with an annual subscription. All of a sudden it tells me I haven’t logged in for two weeks and has taken all my cameras and photos away. It simply reports an error when trying to sign in, and there is no way to contact the developer in the app. It’s great when it works but it can take everything away from you with no warning whenever it likes.

Point and Shoot!

Throughout the years, I’ve owned many cameras: film, digital, rangefinders, SLRs, and point and shoots etc.

This app essentially turns your iPhone into a point and shoot on steroids and … IM LOVING IT. It has made me enjoy shooting again, and proves the cliche: “the best camera is the one you have with you”.

I look, I see, I shoot, and accept the wonderful little imperfections and randomness of the impressively realistic film simulations. No need to develop film, or import and edit the pictures in post, … what you see is what you get! So much fun!

As a photographer here’s my opinion…after 6 years

For what it does, this app is amazing! It’s design and user interface is so simple and intuitive especially if you’ve ever used some of the cameras in the list.
I do feel like some of the later releases (McDonald’s and lunar rabbits specifically) just don’t quite hit right and seems like a decline in quality. At one point I sent an email to the developer with an idea for an 8mm video camera and seems like within a few weeks one was released. You’re welcome… just kidding lol.
Overall this is the perfect app for anyone who loves photography or specifically vintage photography.
Let’s get to the price.
The yearly subscription is fine. BUT after a few years of no new cameras it just feels like that random $20 a friend borrows but never returns.
It does provide you with continued use of all the cameras but at some point they start to feel outdated as ironic as that sounds for a Vintage camera app lol.
They haven’t added any new cameras in a long time. I’ll probably just go ahead and let the subscription end. As sad as that is. Hopefully some new cameras are in the works.
I’d love to see other video cameras (hi-8, vhs, etc.)
As for photos. Maybe some experimental vintage cameras with projector lens. Or cameras with interchangeable lens. Maybe play around with triple exposure. Honestly the future for this app could be so bright.
Would love to assist in any ideas of necessary.
Much love
Long time fan.

(Almost) everything I’ve been looking for!!!

I have been shooting film for very long time, I’ve been shooting with my iPhones since 2011…and I’ve tried every photo app available. Filters, Polaroid look, film look, none of it ever matches up in my opinion. And then I found this one. This one has so many cameras to choose from, almost all of them are fantastic. So why the three stars? For the first year and a half that I paid for it, I was getting new cameras in updates, new features and even tweaks to the cameras. But I’ve had zero meaningful updates in well over a year now and for that I must deduct the two stars. I’ll gladly give them 5 stars, more if I could, if they added cameras more often I hope they can add new cameras soon and that they don’t let the app die out!

AMAZING but really buggy

I’ve used NOMO cam on and off for a year or two now. And I really have liked it. I recently decided to get pro bc it’s 25$ a year (2$ value a month) but now I’ve seen that almost half the cameras bug out and crash the app when taking a photo. This makes a lot of the cameras pretty much unusable. Luckily my favorite ones work (swirly 2) and I can use them without crashes (most of the time) certain settings on the camera will crash the app

Fantastic app one small issue

When I use the icon on my Lock Screen, it takes me to the last used camera, perfect, However if I was reviewing photos when I closed the app last, that’s what opens, I have missed so many magical moments becasue of this. The icon should go directly to the last used camera, regardless of what I did last,

amazing filters, whoever…

i’m a subscriber because i love the filters they have on the app, i use them all the time! but, the app really needs improving…. first, i wish they had the option to select more than one photo instead of having to select one by one. whenever i try to look for a folder, the app starts to freeze and it’s frustrating because i have to keep closing and opening the app and scrolling over and over again. i also wish they could just edit the photos only, i don’t understand why every filter crops the pictures in different sizes. like sometimes i have to pray the filter will crop the image in a way that won’t destroy the picture and will fit on the instagram post/story. apart from that, lovely app!

Low resolution and can’t remove boarders

The button to email the developer doesn’t work on iOS so I’m leaving these suggestions publicly.

I like the app a lot, but it exports all photos between 8 and 10mp. It would be really nice to have a higher resolution output. I understand it’s a lofi look but film scans can be much more detailed than this. I like to import from my digital cameras and edit in this app but you lose a lot of resolution so it’s limiting.

Also, many of the cameras have boarders and frames that can’t be removed. You can remove some of the date stamps but I’d like to be able to remove the frames.

Since this is among the best film simulation softwares I’ve tried, I would love if they added desktop iOS compatibility like some other iOS apps have.

As people have mentioned, once you pay for the cameras, you can’t import photos without paying for pro with should be more clear.

Thanks devs, I’d love the app if these changes are put in place.

Question for the developers

Excellent app! Would love to get in contact with the developer to speak about the Lonesome filter.

Just what I was looking for!

With others I’ve used, my pics don’t fit correctly BUT this app sorts it all out for you AND they turned out better than what I wanted!
