  • Fine, but misleading.

The game is fine, pretty relaxing golf game. My issue is that I got tired of the ad’s so I paid for the game. What you’re not told is that every stroke over par brings up an incredibly annoying prompt in the middle of the screen asking if you would like to watch an ad in order to redo the hole. On every stroke. So get the prompt, miss the putt.....yep there is the prompt again. All of this AFTER I paid for the game. Not cool.

  • A great little golf game that requires an update

If you’re after a fun little golf game that plays well and is playable one-handed then this could be it. The visuals are stylishly minimal and the game has shed any unnecessary weight. It looks good and it works.

Not everything is perfect though. The power gauge is very difficult to read or predict. The yellow/red dot system doesn’t seem to represent what will actually happen to the strength of your shot finding you over shooting the hole by a long distance, or finding you unable to reach your target as the design is so deceptive.

But my biggest annoyance is being harassed to watch an advert every time I go over par, even though I’ve paid to remove ads. This should definitely be removed.

I want to love this game and I think a consumer friendly update can push it towards being a great game. But for now it needs a bit of work.

  • Perfect!

I’ve been playing golf games since I was a wee lad and this one is the perfect design. The controls are great and even though it has a fun cartoony style it still FEELS like golf. They did a great job with that. Golf games with good controls and the right feel are the ones you keep playing. I’m looking forward to many more rounds in this rad little game. Great design. Another super fun game from MBAR games.

  • Great game

This is one of those games you pick up when your bored or just want to have a good time. One of those games that just makes you feel good inside. Fun for all ages.
  • No feels

Ok... the charming visual simplicity and crafting my own courses was an attractive idea but after playing a round, I am disillusioned with the idea.

Swinging feels terrible. For a number of reasons...

I have a limited top down view of my golfer with almost no sense of place on the course. The fact that I can ‘aim’ without seeing the target!? Worthless.

I have to switch to map view to see the potential of my club and aim, but don’t see that distance relationship while swinging so I am always surprised at the results.

The swing meter rotates your aim oddly and not predictably, as you approach its max. Again, with no reference to the course while this is happening, it’s almost impossible to take advantage of.

The club ranges that you see on the map view are wrong. Several times when chipping or putting onto the green, my shot exceeded the max of my club’s displayed range... so... frustrating.

Selecting clubs is annoying. It’s a tap to select the next club, which sounds quick and easy without another menu... but what you end up doing is passing up the club you want 1-3 times. <grrr>

I would love to play a light fun golf game and I would love to make and exchange courses for my friends and kids... just not for this game.

  • I Like It

This is a pleasant challenge, golf without gimmicks, easy controls, courses that are simple, but still reward a successful low-percentage shot, pleasant to see. The only thing I wish for is another button beside ‘no ads’: ‘no I don’t ever want to watch an ad ever ever ever so stop asking and let me sink this ultrabogey’

  • This is a good one

I'm very impressed with the thought out into it. A simple interface that allows for skill and strategy. Well done. Worth the cost. I'll spend a lot of hours on this one. Thanks
  • Golfing around

    Really good fun!
  • Poor First time user experience that doesn’t get better.

Poorly executed first session. Seems to be lack of the heritage of golf games present in this game. Controls not acting as expected. Confusing iconography and misleading power meter on first green resulting in going 5 over par.
Serving a negative Experince on my first home is a bad start to a game.
Deleted game as serious design flaws and cumbersome UI makes it a chore to play. Absolutely terrible at flagging distance or power requirements to player when taking a shot. Greens are just guess work. What a waste.

  • Wow

I thought this game was just gonna be a short little golf game with a couple holes, possible randomness, that I could play when I’m bored. This game is so much more than I thought it was. It has a level creator, a bunch of holes, good controls, awesome concepts that work to help you when you understand them, and fun colorful graphics. It’s easy to pick up and learn and really fun. The adds can be annoying, but the creators of this game deserve the money the adds make, so I don’t mind them. Definitely download!
