Good but lacking

An overall good app that has a lot of what you’ll need, but it’s missing a shocking amount of basic cocktail recipes. For an app that I’m using as a bartender to pull up recipes I don’t know by heart, they should have things as universal as a Cosmopolitan or Whiskey Sour. They have many more obscure cocktails, but seem to be confusingly lacking some staples. If that were fixed and updated, this would be a 5 star app.

Great app, but...

I use a couple of different "recipe" apps, but this one seems one of the best for cocktails. HOWEVER, it's got one big downfall: no way to add a favorite cocktail that the authors omitted! I love Black Manhattans, but it's not in the app, so can't favorite it. Wish there was a way to add your own recipes.

Still the Best

This is still the best cocktail app out there, put out by the best bar (Attaboy), with the best bartenders (Roger, Jon, Chris…). I’d love to see an update to include newer cocktails or variations, but … still. Can’t be beat.

A fantastic reference for modern cocktails

The app is easily navigable; you can search for cocktails by ingredient or filter them by characteristics using the “I feel like” feature.

I also appreciate that the app credits the creator of the cocktail, bar, and year it was made. The notes section for each cocktail allows me to document my experience/experiments with each recipe.

My only single gripe is that when viewing a cocktail recipe, the “back” arrow on the top left of the screen is practically non-responsive, possibly due to its closeness to the top bar of an iPhone display (where the current time is displayed).

I would absolutely love it if this could be fixed so I can continue to use this app quickly while I’m bartending

Back button needs fixing

Please fix the back button. It is so freaking hard to hit sometimes. I tap the screen 20 or so times till it finally works. Or may it so you can pull from the side to go to the previous screen. Something just needs to be done. It’s almost unusable.

Best reference guide on the market for professionals

Have a customer that is unsure on what they want? walk through the steps of each cocktail and this bible will decipher which drink will fit best.

Have you worked in a bar and ever had a customer order a classic cocktail that you can’t quite remember because it’s been 4 years since you made one? Anywhere in the world you work. This app converts both mils and ounces.

Do you like cocktail history? This app references every single drink’s original creator, where it was made, plus the year it was made.

Do you like drinks that are balanced appropriately by professionals? Good, you’ll find no random diffords guide-esque specs in here.

In short. Get this app.

It’s pretty. It’s informative. It’s accurate.

Incredible

I’ve been getting into craft cocktails for a while now and have a fairly good collection of reference cocktail books.

This app blows all of them out of the water

It has an incredible selection of cocktails and the app works well to recommend drinks you may like based on some parameters (eg I’m in the mood for a boozy gin cocktail)

I use this app very regularly and am terrified they’ll discontinue support for it and I’ll lose access to my many many favorite cocktails!!

I would happily pay for a new app if they were to release a new version.

Please keep up the great work.

Huge Fan, but…

I’m a huge fan and use the app all the time. However, I’d like to see new recipes added. I love boozy agave drinks and one can only drink so many Mance Ryders or Zone Amarillos. Would love to see some new stuff.

Own recipes

Great resource wish you could add your own recipes though

This app is f’ing amazing

I use this thing at least once a week. 1) I don’t have to remember recipes for favorite drinks. 2) I can search an ingredient I’d like to use up and find a delicious drink that I can apply it to. 3) I discover new incredible drinks all the time.

I have two minor issues/requests: the back button needs to move away from the iOS “return to last app” button in the top left, and the search should include custom notes. I like to flag recipes with “need to try” if I don’t have the ingredients on hand, it would be great to be able to search for that phrase.

Or build a tagging system. Up to you.

Otherwise, fantastic job! The app is worth it for the Gloria alone.
