  • Amazing!

Tried a ton of other hue music light show apps and this one blew my mind. No annual subscription is required like some hue sync apps and $11.99 unlocks everything. Unfortunately, no ability to airplay and continue working which would be a game changer as i could output apple music to my HomePods while the app takes care of the hue lights. Please update this if at all possible.

Also only 10 lights at a time but this is due to the hue bridge only able to handle 10 at a time max. However, i’ve read that soon login to multiple bridges will be supported by Hue. If so, hopefully this app will be able to support more lights! Imagine this app running with 20+ lights!

One final enhancement request…..please create an equivalent apple TV app! It would be so handy. For example, I have a camper and would love to play our music on the apple TV and then fire up this app for the light show rather than using an iphone or ipad.

Anyways long story short this is a great app and well worth the $12 even without the enhancements…..great job! Also, loved that there was a try before you buy option….you can get a sense of what the app is all about and then can decide.

  • AirPlay Restored!

Not sure if it was a bug or something, but 48 hours after I mentioned that AirPlay was glitchy, I am seeing it no longer is!!
    Well done, team!
  • Fairly Useless Toy

App does what it says it will, to a point.

Once synced to my Spotify playlist, the (single free use preset) lighting reactions were pretty good and dynamic. However, as far as I could tell, the music can be played only through the app on my phone (it automatically switches to this once synced).

As soon as I tell Spotify to play my music through another speaker system, the lighting sequence stops. Within the app, I can't find any audio control or settings to change how the app behaves in this regard. So, basically, it's a lighting show for personal listening... not a party or social setting.

I tried to contact support to see if I was maybe missing something, but the mail came back as undeliverable. So it seems there's also no actual support for this app. Use at your discretion.

  • I was able to figure it out it works

    My bad.
  • Best Music App for Philips Hue

I have tried all the Philips Hue apps and this is the only app I use for my Philips Hue ecosystem, besides the main app. It’s also the best music app for Hue lights I use; even better than the official app’s music section. It has its limits but it’s so much fun.
  • Finds hue bridge but don’t connect

Have tried everything to connect it , checked setting, pushed bridge button but just won’t connect
  • The best app I’ve found for my HUE lights for music.

This app is the best one that I’ve downloaded and tried out (and I’ve tried out several). The accuracy is the best out there. The lights really do change with the music playing. I would give it 5 stars if I could pick more than one custom color and be able to save certain modes as favorites and see them somewhere. Other than that, awesome app!

Formerly gave it 4 stars. The app hasn’t been updated in 2 years.

  • Best app for music

This is by far the best sync app for music the patterns individually for each light on beat on point well done Devs this is brilliant for home party’s now come on Philips allow more than 10 lights to a entertainment zone
  • Best Music App Out There

Many of the Hue Sync music apps only allow you to monitor music from your microphone.

This one allows you to get the beat directly from Apple Music and Spotify, set manually, use microphone, and to use tracks you have saved on your phone that aren’t on music services.

The AM Spotify option gives you an auto pattern feature which detects beat of the song and plays an appropriate pattern.

There are many patterns that are “strobey” so those ones works well with Techno or fast beats. Can manually select patterns or use random ones as well.

They have trial mode that lets you test all the patterns out or the auto feature before you buy unlike other apps
