Increasingly disappointing
Over a year with no updates, reviews filled with valuable feedback and improvements that haven’t been addressed, and the app is now more and more unstable.
Everytime I open the MyHummy app, it flashes up the screen that I was last on and then crashes. I thought it was a problem caused by my old iPhone SE, but since replacing with an iPhone 12 Pro the problem has remained.
Still the useless splash screen with camera option when the only thing I want this app to do is control my (not cheap) white noise device. Still no support for Apple’s Shortcuts functionality which would allow me to create a single command for switching off smart lights, closing smart blinds, and activating white noise.
Considering the price of the original hardware and the fact that company is still actively selling them, I don’t think it unreasonable to ask for a little bit of ongoing development so we don’t all end up with useless plastic hearted soft toys instead of the white noise device we paid for.

Great but needs improvements
I do like the app feature. My biggest issue is that it doesn’t warm you when the battery in about to go or gone.
It’s up in the top right of the screen but I never notice it until I go to turn it on & I can’t connect.
Which is a problem if you are already out of the room. Because who want to go back in once they’ve managed to get out!
A simple alert would be good. Maybe some more sounds too.
Otherwise I do use it every night, throughout the night.
A rechargeable option would be good too. Rather than going through loads of batteries.

Needs battery alert! Please!
We love our Bluetooth myHummy, my son is 18 months and really loves it, he goes to sleep with it every sleep. BUT I wish the app alerted you when the batteries are running low properly. The battery icon is full, and then empty, I don’t often notice the time it changes because I don’t always turn it on with the app.
When it runs out it just turns off, suddenly which always wakes up my son, who is in hysterics from this sudden silence. If you could send a notification that the batteries are getting low I could preemptively change the batteries and my life would be less stressful on the occasions where my baby has gone from sound asleep to screaming.
Also a fade out to off function wouldn’t go a miss, not to go onto alert, but slowly turn off. That would be great 👍🏻

Actual hummy 5* app 3*
The app is quite frustrating it takes ages to load, doesn’t properly tell me when the battery’s are running out and keeps telling me to tap the app to configure download but I have no idea if it’s done it or not. The hummy has saved my life with my little girl she won’t sleep without it and I love what it can do just wish the app was a little better

Great but Battery Indicator needs looking at.
The app is brilliant but the one thing I would like to see in the app development is some work to the battery notifications.
The only notification for the battery is the very small buttery icon in the top right hand corner.
One minute the battery is full, the next empty but the Hummy has already switched off. There’s no % or number to indicate how much battery or how long the Hummy has before the batteries need changing.
It would be really helpful if this was amended as if I knew they only had around 3 hours left, I would change the batteries before bed, rather than them not working at 1am and having to faff trying to change batteries at that time.

Was working fine then stopped
App was working fine last night but come to use this evening and just keeps crashing despite no update available and no phone update either...? I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it hasn’t worked and resetting my phone. Just want it to work again...
Loads of improvement needed
1. Timer. There is no indication for how long noise is playing or when it started to play. You have to guess when it went off and for how long its now active.
2. Indicator that teddy is playing sounds. Honestly, there is no way to tell if it on apart physically hearing the device.
3. Activate cry sensor stand by and bypass need to play a sound first. Right now you have to turn the teddy on and let it play for desired amount of time before it shuts off and goes in to stand by mode. I would like to be able to just turn on cry sensor on and leave it on in baby's room.

Useful but why the camera? And why so expensive?
The app and teddy are quite useful, but I don’t understand why the first screen the app opens up has 2 options, 1 to control the hummy , and the other to take a photo?? Every time I open the app I want to control the hummy, I never want to take a photo. I use my camera app for that!
Sounds small, but when it’s only a few seconds between catching my son before he wakes up or having him fully awake for an hour, it would make a big difference to not have an extra (pointless!) screen between opening the app and getting to the controls! If you really want to let people take pictures with the app (who is doing that anyway???) why not include it inside the menu or on the top nav rather than front and centre?
Honestly, we were using Bluetooth speaker hooked up to a white noise app on my phone before and that was easier and more responsive. The hummy has the benefit that the rest of my phone sounds don’t also go through the Bluetooth speaker, which perhaps makes it marginally worth it. But it is sooo expensive for what it is. The Bluetooth speaker was £15 + a free white noise app. These guys have a captive audience of desperate parents and are exploiting that in my opinion. I would advise to just get the Bluetooth speaker instead, and just remember not to open any video messages and put your phone on do-not-disturb!

Second MyHummy now seems pointless!
We found this worked brilliantly for our eldest but as there is no option on the app to add a second bear and the app can not be downloaded twice on the same device we have run into a major problem!
It feels like our second MyHummy is now
redundant.
Can you not make an option to link and control multiple bears from the same app?

Love it but needs a few adjustments
So glad I bought the hummy with Bluetooth. The app is great but could do with a few things being clearer it’s just a guessing games as to what some of the things are. I would also like to see the time between you moving the volume and it working be quicker. When it alerts it’s great but it doesn’t log them I would quite like to look back and see what time my daughter made a noise especially during the night when I’m half sleeping anyway when I hear her! See if there is a pattern before she wakes properly for a feed. I also don’t understand the screen you get when there has been an alert what are you meant to do?
Overall good though and so pleased I got it.
